How are the hostels and faculty at IIIT Bhopal as the fresh batch has started?

AS
Anwesh Saha Posted On : March 24th, 2021
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhopal

As IIIT Bhopal is a newly established college so its academic building is not ready yet. The classes are conducted at many campuses. Many administration provides its professors for lectures at IIT Bhopal. The senior professors of many will be the guest faculties for it in Bhopal when required. The students of IIT Bhopal can avail themselves of every facility of many and the RGPV. The labs are held at multiple labs. The libraries of many and the RGPV are made available for IIIT Bhopal students as for the hostels.

First of all, the fee structure for the hostel is quite high and the distance of the hostel is way farther from the college campus. The hostels are pretty good even though it is beside the hostel of RGPV but the facilities of IIIT Bhopal hostel are good as compared to RGPV. The hostellers avail daily bus service from RGPV to many campuses. The lunch is made available to them at various campuses.

Overall I would say the administration of many is cooperating and is assisting in every way they can participate in academics as well as additional facilities.

How is the faculty at AIIMS Raipur for an MBBS?

AG
Anubhuti Gaurav Posted On : November 19th, 2022
Lives in India

The infrastructure appears to be adequate for a college that was founded only a few years ago. There are structured OPDs as well as special OPDs. The hypertension and diabetic clinic, pain clinic, and rheumatology clinic are all available. The standard USGS, CTs, MRIs, and echo are all fully operational. Cardiology and Nephrology departments have been established. Renal biopsy procedures are also carried out. To function fully, it will take time, but AIIMS Raipur is a thousand times better than AIIMS Bhubaneshwar.

The AIIMS campus in Bhubaneshwar is filthy. There is no sense of organization or management. The MICU there is crammed with 30 patients, with no standards or protocols in place.

Who is the best professor of IGIT, Sarang?

SS
Shaurya Singh Posted On : March 1st, 2021
Studied at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang

The answer to this question varies on the professors who are in charge of your classes. Answering this question on the basis of academics would be difficult for any person.

Pre-final year students are in charge of organizing functions like the annual and welcoming events. When my senior was in her organizing year, in some way or the other, she was part of every function that took place at the college-level. Through her involvements, she got the chance to interact with professors across a lot of branches in their official capacities. Some of the professors are:

  • G.K. Pothal Sir: He became the head of the cultural department when my senior was in the institute. He was a very approachable person, which cannot be said for most professors in the college. He was always imposing and always addressed the issues of the students. He even guided the students in the literary fest Anweshan.
  • S.K. Chand Sir: He always devoted his attention to helping the students. He had immense knowledge about what he taught and always apologized whenever he missed classes. He made sure to compensate for the missed classes for completion of the syllabus. He is a very disciplined member of the faculty.
  • B.C. Panda Sir: He is considered a favorite among the students. He is not only very active in college but also laid back. He always tries to guide his students through his vast experience.
  • S.N. Mishra Sir: Students have a love-hate relationship with him. But he is known to go out of his way to help his students.

There are a lot of noteworthy teachers in the institute. All of them work collectively towards the betterment of the students and the institute.

How will you rate NMIMS, SIBM, SCHRMD, XIMB, SJSOM, NITIE, TISS, SIMSREE for an MBA in finance, HR, and consulting on terms of faculty and placements?

RC
Rashi Chaturvedi Posted On : August 16th, 2021
Completed B.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in 2020

Since you have asked this, I have mentioned separately which college stands where. It is what I gathered after researching about them and reading some reviews online.

In terms of overall ranking and brand value -

  • TISS HR Program and NITIEs Operation will be a better choice among others.
  • TISS-HR or NITIE- Operations>SJMSOM>SIBM or NMIMS>SCMHRD or XIMB>SIMSREE.

The functional preference would be -

  • For HR: TISS>SCMHRD>SIBM>XIMB>NMIMS
  • For Finance: NITIE>NMIMS>SJMSOM>SIBM>XIMB>SCMHRD>SIMSREE
  • For Consulting: NITIE>SJMSOM>NMIMS>SIBM>XIMB>SCMHRD>SIMSREE
  • For Operations: NITIE>SJMSOM

The QS World Rankings offers an accurate and up-to-date ranking of institutions across the world. The website takes a lot of aspects into account. It would be a good idea to consult the website before drawing conclusions. There are other websites too such as Global Education Report and International Education Research Report.

The world academic community recognizes the authority and credentials held by these and similar websites. In addition to that, the more certificate letters you have in your CV the more positively it will affect you.

Classrooms

The classroom facilities at IIM Visakhapatnam are no joke and even IIM Bangalore professors were impressed by the classroom infrastructure. The classrooms are horse-shoe shaped elevated at every step to facilitate better professor and student contact.

Library

For book lovers, IIM Vishakhapatnam’s library is heaven. The vast library with 24-hour accessibility makes it one of the best. The librarian is very polite and is always on the hunt of bringing the best reads to the library. She even meets the professors and asks for their recommendations for the same. The library also has around 25 different subscriptions. Some of them include The Economist, EPW, Harvard Business Review, and MIT Sloan management.

Faculty

Most of the faculty is from the top B school IIM Bangalore and speaks of credibility. They are learned, experienced and passionate about teaching.

Who are some of the best and worst professors (past and present) at IIM Indore?

SM
Sourav Mukherjee Posted On : August 31st, 2021
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Indore (2014)

IIM Indore is among one of the management hubs in India. As some of my friends studied at IIM Indore, and as per his review, the best professors at that time were Mr. KS Ramesh for FMCG Marketing, Mr. Rajesh Srivastav for Brand Management, and Mr. Ganesh for Economics.

  • KS Ramesh held a very senior position at CavinKare and Reckitt Benckiser before he transitioned to teaching.
  • He was extremely cooperative and helpful.
  • Also, Deepak Kapur who teaches Business Valuation, was also an alum of this institution.
  • My friends say that they have learnt more in this course than the others combined.
  • They both were visiting faculty members.
  • Professor Ganesh, Professor Natrajan and Professor Pani were the best among the permanent faculty members.

Overall, these professors of IIM Indore have vast industry experience and equip students with the strong fundamentals of the respective subjects. It is famous for the quality of education, which is at par with the leading B-schools in the world. Therefore, it has received accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.

How does Prof. Jayasankar Ramanathan teach at IIM Visakhapatnam?

PA
Parshant Arora Posted On : January 24th, 2023
MBA from Indian Institute of Management Indore (2021)

My sister was a student at IIM Visakhapatnam and always praised Prof. Jayasankar Ramanathan specifically. She used to say that although every teacher in IIMs is unique, this particular professor had the ability to grab the attention of the weakest minds. His pedagogy was like no other. Here are some highlights of his unique teaching methodology.

  • Right on the first day he will give you a question paper with basic questions related to your prior knowledge of marketing. He does the same on the last day and now you have to answer based on the knowledge you have acquired in 2 years. Then he gives you both the answer sheets and asks you to compare your answers. The drastic difference stems from the elaborate knowledge you have acquired in 2 years.
  • The topics are usually covered through case discussions
  • The students are selected for class discussions by drawing their roll numbers anonymously
  • He is amazing with drawing insights from numbers and tables
  • He prefers formal contact between students and himself via mail or prior appointments.
  • He focuses a lot on disciplinary conduct
  • He refuses to clear doubts in the middle of the class. You can jot them down and ask them the next day
  • He assigns extremely mind-boggling projects that require your entire attention
  • He gives more weightage to projects and ensures comprehensive evaluation.
  • He sometimes arranged some fun games that indirectly promote learning

The best part was that he used the same cards he used to draw names for class discussions and wrote best wishes in them and gave them to the students. All these unique methodologies made him everyone’s favorite.
