Well, many of my friends recommend going for BIMTECH. But honestly, none of these two are great options for an MBA. 

Comparison:

• At Amity you will find a beautiful campus and the management degree is better than the Engineering degree offered through it is a school of engineering in terms of academics and discipline. But in general, the management degree is quite average. You will get placement with an average package of 5–6 LPA which is below average for an MBA graduate. Yes, some 4–5 students manage to get a package of above 10 LPA. 
• BIMTECH has a better placement record, comparably. On average, you can expect to receive an average package of around 6–8 lakhs per annum. If you are lucky enough and have a good academic record, you can bag placement packages of around 9–10 LPA. 
• Talking about the overall exposure, Both Amity and BIMTECH have Good exposure, not as good as IIMs/XLRI or NMIMS/SP-Jain. You will find both of them have a good corporate connect where you get to attend a lot of conferences and workshops. Both colleges help you to find summer placements although, most of these placements don’t have much substance. 

If you have no other better option and you don’t want to repeat another year to prepare for CAT, only then go to these colleges. 

Otherwise, Consider repeating another year and Aim for colleges like NMIMS (Mumbai), Symbiosis Pune, or XIM Bhubneshwar. These colleges are Good and the placements lie between 10–15 LPA, which is decent enough. You can even get into new IIMs with a bit of effort, if not the old ones.

Both IMS Noida and Amity Noida are two good colleges for pursuing BCA programs. As per many students, college does not matter much but the potential and knowledge do. One of my friends had studied from Amity and highly recommended it for pursuing a BCA program.

Here are some of the supporting facts :

• Amity has a brand name and ranks at the top among the various private institutions of India.
• Amity has one of the best faculties with vast expertise in all of their domains.
• There is a great need for practical knowledge for pursuing BCA and for that, Amity has great computer labs and it emphasizes much on practical classes.
• The campus has one of the finest infrastructures.
• There is great student diversity. Students from all over the country from varied backgrounds come here.
• The students will enhance their communication skills.
• The college has a great library.

The only disadvantage is that the college takes hefty fees and it is very strict about its attendance policy. If this is not one's concern, then Amity would be a great option.

The institute strives to provide you with the best placements and making sure that you don’t have to worry about the same. Giants like Amazon, Aditya Birla, HCL, etc visit the campus for final placements. 

The PGDM offered is actually an MBA degree. It used to be PGDM when Amity was a business school and not a university. It does not make any difference, though. However, despite having a pretty decent brand value, the return on investment leaves a lot to be desired.

First of all look for the eligibility of the course that is B.Sc in Physics at Amity University. Currently, any student with a minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 system and a minimum of 50% in Physics is required to be eligible to apply for the course at the university.

After that, there are various ways of getting selected into the program. The various selection procedures are explained below –

• General Procedure – There will be an admission test followed by group discussion and finally an interview. Of course, this is not applicable for every course and this differs slightly based on the specific course.
• Scholarship-cum-fast track admission – This is applicable for all courses at the university including B.Sc in Physics excluding some courses such as architecture, design, education, fine arts, law, and physical education.
• Direct admission – Anyone who has secured the following set of aggregate marks in the class 12th can apply for direct admission to the university along with receiving a scholarship in terms of academic fee.

1. 93% and above – 100% scholarship to be received and applicable for all campuses.
2. 90% and above for Noida campus and 88% and above for other campuses – 50% scholarship will be provided
3. 80% and above for Jaipur, Kolkata, and Lucknow campuses, 75% and above for Mumbai and Greater Noida campuses, and 70% and above for Ranchi, Gwalior and Raipur campuses will receive 25% scholarship.

However, keep in mind that scholarships are provided to a limited number of students and thus there are a limited number of seats under this scheme. Also, you would be offered scholarships only after joining the program.

Sharda University, Amity University, and the Ambedkar University of Delhi are reputed institutes and offer decent BA Geography programs. Given below are a few impotent aspects that you should consider about the institutes while comparing.

Admission:

Eligibility:

• At Amity University students must have passed 10+2 followed by a test in the English language.

• At Sharda University candidates must have passed (10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and Proficiency in English Communication.

• At Ambedkar University students require 10+2 with min 50% marks.

The course fee for the institutes is as follows.

Placement:

Although most students choose to go for higher studies. The institutes have active placement cells which offer decent placement offers.

Amity University:

• According to the 2019 placement drive the average CTC offered was 4.5 LPA.

• Companies like Byju’s, Amazon, TCS, HSBC. IRCO recruits students every year.

• A total of 525 companies participated in the campus drive last year.

Sharda University:

• According to the placement statistics of 2019, the highest CTC offered to the UG program was 10 LPA.

• A total of 350 companies visited the campus placement drive.

• Some of the renowned companies like UltraTech, Konark, ACC, etc. come every year to provide jobs to the students.

Ambedkar University:

AUD Delhi collaborates with many companies from various fields to facilitate the placement needs of students.

• The average CTC offered is 3 LPA.

• Reputed companies like Indian Oil, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, etc visit the campus placement.

The details discussed above will assist you in making a wise decision as to which college you would like to prefer for an honors degree in geography.

The fee structure of Amity Noida is relatively low as compared to others. In case you are curious about the placement in various flagship programs, it is decent. One of the best companies that are reputed around the world visits the Amity (Noida) campus. The highest package received by the recent batch at Amity was 32 LPA.

In the hostels at Amity (Noida), you would enjoy the experience thoroughly. Be it, staff or even any other basic requirement is fulfilled at once. Every service, in terms of general stores, food, stationery, etc. is available. Overall, the rooms and halls at Amity (Noida) are very clean and well-maintained. 

Institutionalized practices and provisions do not allow ragging at any cost. The college is very strict about it and it does not tolerate or entertain any such case. Even if you feel intimidated by any senior at the college hostel, feel free to reach out to the authorities concerned with the hostel or bring out your complaint by directly walking into the hostel director's office. Your complaint would be considered and resolved instantly.

When it comes to Bioinformatics neither of these two colleges offer any advantage over the other. It would not be possible for you to get a job during on-campus recruitments with a UG degree in bioinformatics. To open up your opportunities, you would have to go for a Master’s degree. 

Now coming to the location of both these institutions. Amity University is situated in the NCR region of India and you can expect to have a thrilling and fascinating city lifestyle. The campus of Karunya University is surrounded by hills from all sides. The campus would be a bit laid back and peaceful, giving you plenty of time to reflect and introspect.

Amity University is a well-known institution that everyone knows about, whereas Karunya University is barely known among the student communities of India.
