- It is famous for producing brilliant chemical engineers for years now.
- It has location benefits as Maharashtra and Gujarat are home to many industries. This helps in easy internship opportunities and placements also.
- Many good companies and even PSUs participate in the campus placement drive. Even if you have low CGPA points, you will get hired if you do well at the interview.
- The professors are the best in their respective domains. They also have good connections in the industry. They can help you get placed in any industry with just one letter.
Chemical engineering is a part of many departments in NIT Rourkela or any other NIT but ICT Mumbai specializes in it. Hope it helps.

- In terms of location, it is situated in the middle of industries from both Mumbai and Gujrat on either side. It will be convenient for the student to get himself/herself an internship in either of the industries or get a job during the placement session.
- In terms of faculty, the teachers appointed are themselves specialists in the department of chemical engineering. Also, they have a good connection with multiple industries.
Therefore, ICT Mumbai is the most favorable choice.
As for NIT, it depends on which NIT one is mentioning. If they are referring to NIT Rourkela, Warangal, Tirchi, Surathkal then they are good. The rest of the NITs aren’t up to the mark.
I am getting chemical in IET Lucknow, should I take it?
You must have to go for the fifth round of counseling to change your branch. But if you are hard-working then you can easily change the branch by maintaining an S.G.P.A of 8.5 approximately.
If you are unable to do so, you will regert it during the placements as even the most well-known NITs do not provide decent packages for students pursuing Chemical Engineering. Another option you have is only the GATE exam that is one of the most preferred gateways by students for getting admission.
