How is IET Lucknow for an MCA?
It will be better if you prepare for NIMCET because the condition of MCA is not so good in IET Lucknow. One of my friends pursued an MCA course at IET Lucknow and here’s what he has to share about it -
- The faculty team at IET Lucknow allotted to the MCA course are mostly guest faculties and they are not good enough to complete the whole syllabus.
- Placement is also not very good and only 4 to 5 companies allow MCA students to sit in the campus drive every year.
- Only some students are recruited through on-campus placements.

- It's a central University and has a very good campus.
- The faculties are moderate.
- The placement scenario is not very good at Pondicherry University.
- Students here are mostly dependent on off-campus placements.
My friend got a good rank (read AIR-1) in 2014 but he ended up pursuing it in NIT Durgapur. So think wisely.
In general Pondicherry University is a good university. But not fit to meet the requirements of the industry. Better join some other university. In the long run, PU is not a good option. Placements are not up to the mark.

For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the M.Tech tuition fee is exempted. However, they are still required to pay the other fees and hostel fees. You can visit the official NITK website to check the other fees that the college charges.

How is IET Lucknow, KNIT Sultanpur & BIET Jhansi in terms of placement for MCA students?
The placement scenario for MCA is not considered as good as it is for B.Tech students in KNIT Sultanpur. The thing that matters the most is your consistency in working during MCA.
My brother has recently graduated from IET and based on his experience, I can suggest you a few points:
- In IET Lucknow, MCA student sits with B.Tech students for the placements. It becomes important to see how better you are when compared to the skills of B.Tech students.
- As compared to the other two, IET Lucknow is the best as it had more exposure because of its city. The city gives you better options for training.
- It is near AKTU, so if there are any new updates, you get the information early. Of all the colleges affiliated with AKTU, IET is ranked No. 1. It is an autonomous college as well.
It is important to acknowledge that MCA placements are in no comparison with that of B.Tech but still it gives better exposure as compared to any Government College. BIET Jhansi does not offer MCA, so there’s no comparison with it.
Which one is better NIT Raipur or HBTU for MCA?
HBTU is one of the top autonomous and oldest universities in British history. It has a legacy of its own and is well-known among students. NIT Raipur on the other hand is the second lowest NIT in NIMCET.
Both the colleges aren’t exactly comparable as they have equally mediocre placements for MCA. Here is a brief overview of these colleges

Had I been in your place, I would have gone for HBTU since it has a slightly better reputation than NIT Raipur.
I have 49.9%marks in BSc.(cs) .is it possible to get admission for MCA in jnu
Applicants can check the eligibility criteria for JNUEE MCA below:
- Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Candidates should have adequate competence in Mathematics
- Their pattern of Education should have been 10+2+3 pattern
- Candidates must have a minimum of 55% in Bachelor's degree.
According to the eligibility criteria, the minimum marks for the qualifying degree should not be less than the aggregate of 55% marks for all unreserved category candidates. For OBC-NCL there is a 10% marks relaxation and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, the minimum pass mark is required. Also, there is no age limit to apply for this course. Looking at your profile and your graduation score of 49.9% does not seem very promising as it does not align with the required criteria. So unless you belong to a reserved category, it is almost impossible for you to get admission to JNU for MCA.
Which is better? MCA from NIT RAIPUR or USICT (IP DELHI)?
The ‘better’ college depends on your individual preferences and future goals. However, you can consider the following points of comparison while choosing one between MCA from NIT Raipur and USICT.
- No matter what people say, placements are one of the major reasons people study hard so the first and foremost criteria you should consider is placements.
- Another major parameter to consider is the fee structure of both colleges. You can also calculate the ROI by finding out the ratio of the highest placement package to the fee structure.
- If you are someone who is impressed by brands and tags, then NIT Raipur will satisfy you better.
- NIT Raipur has better infrastructure, facilities, and resources than USICT.
- NIT Raipur has many good companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, Adobe, Aditya Birla Group, etc. that offer decent packages.
- The rate of development is better at NIT Raipur.
Ultimately, the brand or the infrastructure of the college does not matter but your skill sets and determination matter.
Which is the best learning college for an MCA- LPU, NIET, SRM, Galgotias, or GLA?
The best choice among all these colleges is LPU. Having known some people who studied at LPU, I can assure you to choose LPU among the others. Here are some reasons as to why I think so:
- According to rankings by NASSCOM, LPU is among the top four institutes for Computer Application in Northern India.
- The lectures focus on nurturing and developing the analytical, conceptual, presentation, communication, and application-oriented skills of the students.
- Faculty members provide full guidance to the students throughout their projects.
- Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOD) model, is a unique approach by the institution because of which there are no time-bound restrictions on the labs.
- The labs are open anytime and anywhere now so that students can focus more on their studies.
- Workshops and visits by guest lecturers are frequent. The guest lecturers are either renowned personalities from the industry or alumni of LPU contributing significantly to the industry.

Which college is better for MCA, PES University or BMS college?
Both PES University as well as BMS College of Engineering are well-established colleges for MCA. In order to decide which college is better, students can look into parameters like eligibility, fee structure as well as program content and placements.

PES University requires Graduation with 50% and a valid PGCET score for MCA admission.

BMS College takes admission through KMAT. The eligibility criteria are graduation.
