The level of competition in NIMCET is not high when compared to the competitiveness of other exams. The most important section of the exam is Mathematics as it contains 50 questions of 12 marks each. Try to focus on this section as it is rewarding.
One of my friends planned his score chart in the following manner:
Sections | Scores |
Mathematics | 450+ |
Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning | 180+ |
English | 40+ |
Computer Awareness | 50+ |
A score similar to this would be enough to get a good enough rank in the general category.
To prepare for Mathematics, you can practice Sets, Statistics, Matrices, Binomial theorem, determinants as they can be done in a short time.
If you prepare yourself diligently for 3-4 months, you will be more than capable to crack NIMCET. Books from R.D. Sharma would be enough for preparing for the exams. In case of English, you just need to have basic aptitude knowledge.
Having known some people studying in both these institutes, I can say that BHU is a better university than NIT Trichy.
NIT Trichy considers the CAT score to select the candidates. Here, the students from different states enjoy the 50% quota for MBA admission. NITs are engineering-oriented and you might have less exposure in terms of management studies.
IM (FMS) Banaras Hindu University also enrolls students with a good CAT score. Combined merit is formed for the students of the MBA and MBA (IB) program. The merit includes:-
BHU’s major recruiters include -Infosys, Wipro, Tata Consultancy, Federal Bank, Ansal API, IDBI Bank, Pantaloons, etc.
Categories | MBA at NIT Trichy | MBA at BHU |
Course Fee | 2.89 lakhs | 1.5 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 12 LPA | 12-16 LPA |
Average CTC | 8 LPA | 8-10 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | HSBC, American Express, ITC, Asian Paints, etc. | Aditya Birla, Wipro, IDBI Bank, Reliance, etc. |
A total number of 38 companies visited and a total of 119 students were placed from campus. Thus, FMS BHU is quite prominent compared to NIT Trichy.
Undoubtedly, the best coder in NIT-Trichy is Sudharsan Mohan. Here’s why:
Apart from all the technical stuff, he is one of the most humble persons you will meet. Despite reaching heights, he always helps anyone with doubts in subjects and even teaches before the exams.
That’s why all the members of the CSE Dept. 2014 (students and faculties) are proud of him and feel honored to have studied with him.
To get admission to the undergraduate architecture program at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy through JEE Main Paper 2, you need to score a rank within the cutoff range set by the institute.
The cutoff rank for admission to NIT Trichy through JEE Main Paper 2 varies each year and depends on various factors, such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats in the architecture program. However, based on the previous year's cutoff trends, you need to score a JEE Main Paper 2 rank within the top 4,000-5,000 to have a good chance of getting admission to the architecture program at NIT Trichy.
It's important to note that meeting the cutoff rank is only one of the eligibility criteria for admission to NIT Trichy. The institute considers other factors such as the candidate's academic performance, the number of applicants for a program, and the reservation policies, among others, for final admission decisions.
Every college has some internal issues with the corporate sector. NIT Trichy happens to have some issues with Google.
NIT Trichy’s training and placement department is rumored to have restricted Google from visiting the campus. An action was taken by the institute to prevent other companies from blacklisting the college. If the companies would have blacklisted the college, the placement sector here would have gone downhill.
Honesty, discipline, and the values of the South Indian people and the states make them stand out. This might not be making sense to you, but will definitely try to elucidate the same here. Also, opinions vary among people.
One of my friends studied at NIT Trichy and he has lived in Hyderabad as well.
The students in these institutions are dedicated to learning and so are the teachers towards teaching. Moreover, the rules and regulations are followed strictly in these institutions.
NIT Trichy is better than NIT Calicut. But the CSE department of NIT Calicut is better than all NITs. The placement of CSE is better. You can choose any course according to your interest.

If you are a person who can spend hours before the computer and likes the challenging corporate life then CSE will be a better option for you after the 12th. If you are interested in studying various subjects and then choosing your specialisation, you work hard and are disciplined, then you choose ECE. You can also work on research in DRDO or ISRO.
One of my friends studies in the NIT Calicut CSE department, and students get a decent placement there. The highest package offered to students at NIT Calicut is INR 49.75 LPA while the average package is INR 11.58 LPA. CSE students easily get internship opportunities in good companies which gives them pre-placement offers.
If you are curious about the hostel life of a girl’s NIT Calicut then here are few details.
Therefore, the NIT Calicut CSE department is good. After you get promoted in the second year, you will start enjoying your campus stay. The campus is also beautiful. The Calicut climate is also good, most of the month it is hot and rains in one semester. So, you can choose CSE if you're passionate about it.

One of my friends had been a student of NIT Trichy, pursuing B.Tech. Let me share what I gathered from him and some reviews online.
Many students have gotten to know about their field of interest while studying in college. Hence, give some time to figure it out and then make a decision, as this will shape your career further.
