During his term as the director of IIT BHU, Dr. Rajeev Sangal appointed an Undergraduate Curriculum Review Committee (UG-CRC). This committee was assigned the task of making a curricular framework for all UG programmes (UGD/IDD/IMD). He worked towards changing the course curricula for the better.
He set up an official Alumni Cell to strengthen the college’s alumni base. Apart from this, he implemented compulsory 50 hours per semester sports participation for freshers. During sir’s time, the students were excitedly waiting for the introduction of Humanities and Entrepreneurship courses in their curriculum.
Dr. Rajeev Sangal had a vision for improving the education standards of IIT BHU. He took some good measures towards attaining his goals.
There are several professors in IIEST, Shibpur who are good. One of my friends studies in the CST department of IIEST. I can name some of the best professors in the department.
Therefore, the IIEST has many good professors other than these. They are all professional and skilled in their respective subjects and you will learn a lot from them.
According to my brother, these are the best teachers at the Department of CSE, NIT Calicut-
All these professors have immense trust in the integrity and potential of their students. All of them have a great connection with their students which enables them to deliver their lectures in the most perfect manner. Thus, these are the teachers at CSED, NIT Calicut who inspired my brother to work harder for his goals.
I have gone through the faculty profile given on the official website of IIT Mandi. It looks similar to that of all newly established IITs, except for IIT Gn and IIT H, which are better than the others.
One of my friends is also a student of the Mechanical branch at IIT Mandi. Most of the faculty members in the Mechanical branch are married couples. One of them got a job here and after that, they recommended their spouses.
In terms of research, the branch is not that good. Most of the faculties just mug up a research paper and publish a new one. One of the faculties became associate by doing the same. If you want to pursue higher studies in Mechanical, then don’t choose IIT Mandi.
Everything in life has advantages and disadvantages. Here are the advantages and disadvantages of BBA from IGNOU:
Pros:
IGNOU offers a BBA with a Specialization in Retailing (rather than a general BBA), which broadens your opportunities in the retail sector beyond sales and marketing.
Every year, you receive a certificate. As a result, you can begin working immediately after finishing your 12th grade and continue to advance each year. You don't have to wait three years for a degree before you can get a job. You can study while working.
Every year, you are given a project that allows you to gain real-world experience in the retail industry and complete it in retail organisations.
Retail Associations of India is collaborating with IGNOU-BBA. You will receive the best curriculum for it.
The course is written in simple language that is easy to understand, and it includes the best knowledge in the retail specialisation.
The cost of this course is the lowest of any university that offers distance education for BBA.
Cons:
There is no Math or Statistics subject in the entire BBA course from IGNOU, so it is entirely theoretical.
Unfortunately, some prestigious MBA programmes look for a Math subject in the course of graduation when accepting applications. However, there will be many colleges that will accept your degree.
Similarly, some government jobs require a Math subject as part of your bachelor's degree programme. However, there will be plenty of opportunities for you in the government. as well as the private sector for employment You can still apply for exams such as Bank PO, SSC, and UPSC.
The same exposure found in regular BBA will never be found in distance BBA. The reason for this is that you will not learn how to give presentations in front of an audience, which is essential if you are studying BBA.
This course is not offered in every city. So, before enrolling in IGNOU's BBA programme, you should contact the IGNOU regional centre in your city. Because this course is taken by a small number of students, it is only available in a few cities. However, when comparing distance universities for the course of BBA, it is recommended that IGNOU is the best because of its lower cost, reputation, and educational standard.
I am an alumnus of Thapar University. Back when I was a student, Dr. V.P. Aggarwal was one of the best teachers at Thapar.
Back in 2014, sir used to teach us KOM (Kinematics of Machines - UME 302). I would usually arrive late for all my lectures, and sit for them with almost no interest. But one of sir’s classes truly inspired me and changed my perspective on life.
Our ESTs were nearing, and so those days very few students attended classes. Sir was teaching us a topic and at the end, he asked us for our doubts. All of us were sitting in a disinterested manner, almost as if forced to attend the lectures. This was when sir told us that he had come back to the university at 4 in the morning, straight from Jabalpur.
He had come back specifically for our class. When we asked him why he took so much pain for a single class, he replied that it was duty to teach his students. He said he would have felt restless with the thought that maybe some student had a query that day which couldn’t be solved because of his absence.
He told us that for him duty was above everything else. He wanted all his students to work hard and stay motivated. That day changed my perspective on life, and made me realize the importance of hardwork.
This is why, for me, sir is one of the best teachers whom I studied under at Thapar University.
My brother was in the same batch as Aditya Khanna at IIM Ahmedabad.
My brother was worried in the beginning that he may not get to interact much with the popular people of his batch. But Aditya Khanna was friendly and approachable from the start. They interacted with each other, and my brother was highly impressed by Aditya. According to my brother, each second spent with the guy made him smarter.
Aditya is the epitome of humility and wisdom. He knew every concept, even before it was discussed in the class. Even without paying attention during class, he would be the one teaching difficult concepts to his batchmates.
He was a hero in the eyes of his batchmates, and my brother still remembers him fondly.
HIT is among the top engineering colleges in West Bengal, affiliated with MAUKAT. The institute is awarded as the Most Preferred Engineering Institute of 2020.
One of my friends, an alumnus of the college, reviewed that the faculty is excellent. They are highly qualified and carry ample industry experience. Most of them are doctorates and well-known in their field of study.
At his time, the discussions about the facility happened in Macha, the cafeteria of the college. The best professor that he was under was Mr. Nirmaan Ganguly (NG sir). He was the best among all the other professors. Apart from him, the others include Mr. Amitava Hatilal of the electrical department and Mr. Parth sir in the computer science department.
These were the few teachers from the past whom he could recall even after five years of graduating.
A news article was published in 2018 which assured that there are a lot of chances that PEC shall be converted into IIT very soon.
Firstly, PEC is part of the University of Punjab. If it is converted into IIT, then it has to be turned into an autonomous institute first, which has not started yet. There is still not any confirmation regarding the conversion of PEC into IIT. It is a huge thing and these type of topics generally goes through a lot of controversies.
If you are taking admission in PEC thinking that you will get a degree from IIT, then you are completely wrong. You will get a degree with a tag of PEC.
It will be better if you stop thinking about the IIT factor. This institute itself a reputed one and provides amazing placements to every one of its students. So, you must be focused on your hard work, career and future career perspectives without thinking about PEC is transformed into IIT.
