What are the chances of getting an admission in SIBM Pune after graduation? What is the cutoff and profile needed for it?

RG
Ritika Gusain Posted On : May 19th, 2023

SIBM Pune, one of India's top business schools, has tough admission. The Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test, group discussion, and personal interview determine SIBM Pune admissions.

SNAP's cutoff depends on the exam's complexity, the number of test-takers, and the number of seats. SIBM Pune's recent SNAP cutoff has been 97-98 percentile.

SIBM Pune analyses SNAP score, academic record, professional experience, extracurricular activities, and performance in the selection phases (group discussion and personal interview) for admission. The institute evaluates applicants holistically.

For admission into SIBM Pune, you should do well on the SNAP exam, prepare for the group discussion and personal interview, and have a solid academic and extracurricular record. Work experience, leadership, and teamwork are also crucial. Getting into SIBM Pune is competitive, but a good SNAP score and a solid profile can help.

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : April 18th, 2023
Studied at Birla Institute of Management Technology

In order to secure admission in BIMTECH Noida, a percentile score of 80 or above in the Common Admission Test (CAT) would be a safe bet. However, candidates with a percentile of 70 and above, along with a good academic score of 65% or higher, can also expect to receive a call. It’s advisable to consider other colleges with lower fees as the average package offered by BIMTECH Noida is around 9 lakhs and the total fees including hostel expenses would be around 15 lakhs.

Yes, you will get into IET but the branch that you get may or may not be any of the core branches such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, CS, IT, etc.

For the rest of the non-core branches, you can get into it. And hence the final scenario will be quite clear when the rank will be revealed.

How much marks should I score to pass in engineering graphics and maths during 3 internal exam of 1st sem CE at Dharmsinh Desai University?

ND
Neeti Desai Posted On : September 7th, 2023
studied at Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad

At Dharmsinh Desai University, the criteria to clear exams in the subjects with labs is to score 68 marks in all. These marks are a combination of

  • 12 internals
  • 4 Attendance
  • 18 externals
  • 34 practical

So, you should score 12 marks in each internal in the case of Engineering Graphics to make a total of 36. So the average is 12 marks for internals. A total of 24 in internals, a minimum of 24 in externals, and a decent attendance record will help you pass. In all, it doesn't matter how much you score in individual exams, in the case of internals all you need is a total of 36 to be on the safer side.
However, in Maths the scenario is a bit different. There are no practicals so you need to score a total of 45 marks instead of 68. So in math, you should score a total of 45 in the internals and 24 in the externals to pass. Here the 45 score score comprises

  • 15 internals
  • 24 externals)
  • 4(attendance)

The total is 43. Here you may pass with grace but to stay on the safer side is better to score 45.
hope this helps you!

Can I get an admission at IET Lucknow in the ECE branch at 2,400 rank (GNOP category)?

PP
Prateek Pathak Posted On : August 5th, 2021
B.Tech in civil Engg from Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow (2017)

It's quite tough to get ECE in the general category with this rank as IET Lucknow is supposed to be the top college after HBTI has become an independent University. Having a few friends from IET Lucknow and read online reviews here are some tips for you.

I would suggest you apply for the Electronics and Instrumentation Branch as well. I also advise you to accept any branch offered in IET, as you'll get a branch change option in the second year if you'll be in the top 3 among your class peers.

Cutoff for B. Tech for the general category (2020) –

Branch Cut off Rank
Electronics and Communication Engineering 193-508
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering 582-1132

Since there are 3 rounds of counseling available, you should perform well and remain positive.

AT

There are two methods to get admission at MMMUT, either you can qualify for the JEE Mains exam or the Malaviyan Entrance Test. The total seats through the Malviyan entrance test are 90 percent while through JEE Mains the total seats are only 10 percent. If you are giving JEE Mains exam you can fill the counseling through the same otherwise it is mandatory to give the entrance exam. In order to get admission, you also need to score well on the Malaviyan entrance test.

Bachelor of Arts Degrees in English with Honours at Banaras Hindu University (2019)

The cut-off marks differ from subject to subject in the case of the BHU PET admission procedure. But most importantly, it depends on the opted course. For a student to select his/her choice subject in a particular course, they have to secure themselves a position within the top 100 ranks.

The cut-off marks list of a few subjects, for the year 2020, has been published on the official site. The cut-off range is given below.

Subject

Cutoff

M.A. English

530-598

M.A. Hindi

875-899

M.sc Physics

267-278

M.sc Geophysics

156-179

As a general student, you will need to score a 75% mark at minimum to be on the safe side of the admission procedure. As per the new rule which was implemented in the year 2019, the minimum percentile to be scored by each category is –

  • General and OBC – 35%
  • Sc/ST/PWD – 25%

This is the current percentile cut-off for each category. The final cut-off marks and the merit list for the year 2020 will be published on the official website soon. To know your marks, visit the official website.
