Both IITs and BITS are leading technical institutes in the country and are often compared to each other in terms of placements and the quality of education offered. While IIT is the dream college of many engineering aspirants you will be surprised to know that anyone who makes the bold decision of choosing BITS over IITs has never regretted it.
One of my friends recently joined BITS and was all praise for the institute. He got pre-placement offers from a six-month Practice School internship and also gained a lot of exposure through various clubs. His family had taken this decision after much anticipation preferring BITS over the IIT tag and their decision fetched big profits.
BITS has some unique aspects in contrast to IITs such as the No attendance rule followed in foreign universities. Moreover, BITS is considered highly in terms of industrial ties, placements, Practice School for Internship, clubs, academics, location, infrastructure, faculty pool, and the elaborate alumni base. All this makes BITS an excellent choice over IITs!

NITIE Mumbai is a highly competitive institute, and admission to its programs is based on several factors, including academic qualifications, work experience, and performance in the selection rounds. The primary factor considered for admission to NITIE Mumbai is the CAT score, and a candidate's overall percentile in the exam is an important determinant of their chances of selection.
A percentile of 96.3 in the CAT exam is a good score and may make you eligible for the selection rounds at NITIE Mumbai. However, it's important to note that the selection criteria and cutoffs vary each year and depend on several factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats in each program.
In addition to the CAT score, NITIE Mumbai considers other factors such as academic performance, work experience, and performance in the selection rounds (Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Written Ability Test) for admission decisions. Therefore, your overall profile, including academic achievements and work experience, will also play a crucial role in determining your chances of selection at NITIE Mumbai.
Overall, while a CAT percentile of 96.3 is a good score, the final admission decision will depend on several factors, and it's best to keep an eye on the official website of NITIE Mumbai for updates on the selection criteria and cutoffs

My brother was a graduate of the same college and as per his experience, the college has a really good and amicable atmosphere. Infrastructure and lab facility-wise as well it is quite decent. As far as the syllabus and academics are concerned, the college strictly adheres to VTU regulations.
The college is also trying to do its best for placements. But, as a student, you also need to shoulder the responsibility and utilize the opportunities provided to you by the placement cell. You might face some hurdles as the college is affiliated with VTU. Your marks might suffer a little too.
There are quite a few drawbacks to the college. When it comes to placement interviews, you might have to go to BVB College at Pool Campus where there are always a large number of students accumulated. Additionally, most of the students selected are from KLE Tech, not KLEIT. Moreover, many of the companies that visit the college are software companies. So if you are a student from EC, EE, Civil or Mechanical engineering, your chances of being placed in your field are a little less.
A lot of people will also tell you that the degree from VTU holds a lot of importance, but this is not always true.
Overall, the college also has quite a few places to improve upon. They need to provide at least 10 campus placements in the 7th and 8th semesters for each branch. The college has a high package of INR 3.75 lakhs per annum with an average package of INR 1.80 lakhs per annum. Thus, while the college is good faculty-wise, it is not that great placement-wise.
This depends mainly on the candidate’s personal choice and what he or she is aiming for. IES stands for Indian Engineering Services and IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. The examination and recruitment of both these officers are managed by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Both of these are high-profile jobs and receive much respect and honor from the government and the people.
Job Role
An IAS officer is more powerful compared to an IES officer as it has more respect in society and commands more power. The pay scales of both are the same but an IAS officer is probably more famous and likely in society. Both of them receive awards and recognition from the government for their work and contributions to society.

In IAS, there is a wide variety of subjects and a candidate can choose from one of them according to their choice and preference for the exams.
In IES, there are no choices as it consists of subjects specific to engineering courses like civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.
