Which is the better option: SRCC or to pursue CA after standard 12?

SS
Swati Sinha Posted On : January 11th, 2022
B.Com (Hons) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (2020)

According to the reviews online, SRCC is a much more reliable option than to pursue CA right after your class 12.

Here are some things that will be better if you choose SRCC:

  • SRCC will play a major role in developing your personality.
  • CA tends to limit your learning and knowledge to only classes and studies. But SRCC will give you a chance to explore and learn various industry related things.
  • SRCC will give you proper training which will be relevant when you join the industry.
  • Studying in a college is basically like working in a professional environment. You have to maintain punctuality and prioritize your work.
  • Lastly, even if you are unsure about studying CA, studying in a college will give you clarity.

Therefore, it is suggested that you opt for SRCC rather than rushing with the stress of being a CA.

Is BITS Hyderabad any good?

TD
Tezal Dahiya Posted On : December 19th, 2023

All the three BITS campuses follow the same curriculum, and the faculties are equally good at each of them. Moreover, all of them have a good infrastructure. All three of them provide excellent learning and development opportunities to students, and the peer groups at each of them are quite good.

The slight difference is that some influential firms only make recruitments from the Pilani campus. But many MNCs choose to recruit students from all three BITS campuses. On campus recruitments do not define the entire career path of any individual.

Some of my seniors at BITS performed really well in UPSC, some went on to pursue their MS, and others rose to high management positions through sheer hard work that they learned during those four years at BITS. The only drawback is that the fees are much higher compared to the NITs.

BITS Hyderabad is an excellent choice for your engineering studies. But everything ultimately depends on your dedication and hardwork.

What is the minimum marks in JEE Mains to get CSE in BIT Mesra?

ST
Shruti Tyagi Posted On : August 16th, 2023
B.E. from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra

No college, including BIT Mesra, admits students on the basis of JEE Mains marks. Rather, admissions are made on the basis of JEE Mains rank. Suppose there are 15 candidates with the same score, their ranks may still differ. If the college has only 10 seats left for that particular course, the top 10 out of those 15 students (having more marks in Maths or Physics) will be given the seats.

Here are the 2023 closing ranks to pursue B.E. CSE from BIT Mesra, for the 1st and 6th round of JoSAA counseling-

Do SRCC students get into IIM Ahmedabad?

UK
Utsav Kamra Posted On : December 21st, 2022
Copy Editor at Careers360

Though Shri Ram College of Commerce has high cut-offs for admission at the graduation level, it is incorrect to assume that all SRCC students who pass the CAT exam will be admitted to IIM Ahmadabad. It is important to remember that work experience is highly valued at IIM Ahmadabad.

Many students from other colleges apply to prestigious institutes. Nothing can stop you from getting into IIM Ahmedabad if you are determined to do so. So remember that regardless of where you studied, you can still get into IIM Ahmedabad.

What are the career prospects after doing M.Com from IGNOU? Will I be eligible for lecturership after it?

AG
Arpita Goyal Posted On : November 3rd, 2022
Studied Physics at University of Calcutta

After earning your Mcom from Ignou, you can pursue a career as a lecturer. However, you must also pass the NET exam to be eligible for a lectureship.

Whether you get your M.com from a distance learning institute like IGNOU or a traditional college makes no difference. You are still eligible to take NET. State-level exams are an alternative to the NET. Every state has its own set of exams. Passing a state exam qualifies you for lectureships only in that state. To be eligible to become a lecturer anywhere in the country, you must give the NET. Most people would instead pass state-level exams and work as a lecturer in their state. They apply for NET after gaining experience in their field.

Does ragging happen in Jadavpur University?

IB
Irina Banerjee Posted On : September 30th, 2021
B.E Computer Science and Engineering,Jadavpur University (2021)

One of my friends is a senior studying in the third year of university. As per his experience, the university has no ragging culture. The seniors are considered elder brothers. They are helpful and guide you in all possible ways. They are far more reliable than the professors of the university.

There is a certainty that no one gets involved in the crime of ragging. The university is the safest and feels like home. In the end, when your seniors graduate, it feels like an emotional farewell. But they remain with you as your family.

What are the disadvantages of attending KJ Somaiya College of Engineering?

AG
Aditya Godambe Posted On : April 1st, 2021
Studied at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering (2019)

KJSCE is an amazing institution in terms of academics, placements, and college life. The autonomous status of the college allows it to have a better curriculum as compared to Mumbai University and makes it comparable to the curriculum of the likes of VJTI. Some of the advantages that you might experience here are:

  1. The length of these papers is around 100 marks, in general as compared to the exams of MU which are 80 marks. The exam structure is very hectic. Sometimes, the students get only one-week of preparatory leave. The students get a gap of just one or two days between two exams. The faculty members are good but they aren’t able to complete the syllabus on time.
  2. Being a Gujrati minority college, it is an all-vegetarian campus (This might be a disadvantage only if you are a non-vegetarian.
  3. The college is not air-conditioned.

You will thoroughly enjoy the 4 years of your graduation and meet some amazing people and make great friends over here.

How was the AMC engineering CLG?

SS
Sanjay Samanta Posted On : February 17th, 2021
B.E Computer Science, AMC Engineering College (2019)

The AMC Engineering College is considered to be an institute with improper facilities and infrastructure. Students graduating from AMC Engineering College usually have a lot of complaints about various aspects of the institute. The table below gives a brief overview of some recent statistics of the institute.

NIRF ’20 Rank

251-300

Median Salary Offered

4.3 Lakhs per annum

Total Fees (B. Tech)

7.6 Lakhs

Total Fees (M.Tech)

2.8 Lakhs

Key Highlights:

  • There is a lack of proper faculties, especially experienced teachers in the institute. Mostly, faculties read out previous year's notes as a part of their teaching. On the contrary, there are some good faculties who deliver productive lectures.
  • Students face different kinds of harassment inside the campus. There are instances of bad behavior from the management and other staff in the college.
  • Some students are of a selfish nature and jealous, which creates a bad impact. There is a 60:40 North and South Indian ratio inside the campus.
  • The campus does not have a proper canteen and a library.
  • The campus is too far from Bangalore city, with no proper transportation facility from the Bangalore Municipal Transport Corporation.
  • There are no well-equipped labs for proper teaching and practical subjects.
  • Students face an utter lack of recreation due to the unavailability of entertainment activities during the college days.
  • Too many hectic class schedules are placed by the departments.
  • There is a convention of collecting money from students for every event, which is not a good sign for the institute.
  • An unorganized college campus is a problem that is faced generally by freshers.

Overall, it is an institute with a below-average rating. Students usually don’t prefer AMC Engineering College. You can go to other private engineering colleges in Bangalore.
