Among Ethiraj MOP WCC and Stella Maris which one is best to have fun college days?

DR
Deepika Roy Posted On : October 14th, 2021
B.Sc Education, Women's Christian College, Chennai

Ethiraj, MOP, WCC, and Stella Maris College offer excellent education and a mix of cultural events. They all encourage students to enjoy and experience great college life. They give participation opportunities in studies, NSS, NCC, Rotaract, extracurriculars, festivals, and other social events.

As all the colleges are women’s colleges, they have independence. You can dress your way. Mobiles are restricted on campus. The class hours are fun, and you would not prefer bunking classes.

WCC is the best college if your goal is to have a great college life. It not only gives you great exposure and tags you with its brand name. You get an opportunity to grow holistically. I have a few friends from WCC, and they are proud to be alumni of WCC.

Is hostel compulsory for the freshers in LNCT Bhopal?

EM
Epshita Majumder Posted On : September 21st, 2021
B.E from Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal (2018)

No, It is not compulsory for first-year students to opt for Hostel facilities at LNCT Bhopal. However, if you are going to be in Bhopal for the first time or if you are unfamiliar with the city, I would recommend staying in a hostel at LNCT Bhopal.

The benefits of opting for a hostel as a first-year student (or fresher) at LNCT are as follows.

  • No Bus fee would be charged.
  • Lesser time consumption for travel especially to and from the college campus.
  • Easy access to the library for more hours.
  • You will get the chance to enjoy and interact with more of your friends and batch mate that would also increase your college activity on the campus.
  • Exam, mid-semester, and external benefits are all available (you will know more about it after you join LNCT).

There are many other benefits of choosing Hostel facilities at LNCT which you would realize only after joining the college. You can travel to marketplaces or other spots of the city with local buses that are readily available every 15 minutes from the campus of LNCT. Local modes of transportation like Auto are also available near the premises of the college.

How was your first month at LHMC as an MBBS student?

YG
Yashnavi Garg Posted On : October 5th, 2023
MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College

My friend shared her first-month experience as an MBBS student at LGMC. The initial days were very gloomy because almost everyone who failed to make it to their dream schools landed in LHMC. Also, the all-girls setting was somewhat new and difficult to adjust to after studying in co-ed all her life. However, soon everything started to become normal. She still vividly remembers how well her first dissection went. She made friends and their best hanging spot became the Statue of Lady Hardinge. All kinds of snacks from tea to noodles were available here.

The seniors were surprisingly more friendly than expected and introduced juniors to various societies and extended parent-like support. Ragging did not exist even in the smallest form making the campus very safe. She witnessed her seniors organizing functions efficiently making her realize the all-girls environment gave more opportunities to girls here than a co-ed college would ever give.

It was a month later that she realized that LHMC had never been her dream college or even her batchmates but the college warmly accepted everyone and would help her achieve her dream

Both Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) and Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology (RKGIT) are private engineering colleges located in the Delhi NCR region. I have a few friends at both the institutes and based on the conversation, I had with them, I will say NIET will be better.

The faculty and campus placements at RKGIT are not that great. Compared to RKGIT, NIET has better a better faculty base and placement record.

Here are the recent placement highlights for the two institutes.

How is the life of an MBBS student at AIIMS Bhopal?

HS
Harsh Sinha Posted On : June 5th, 2023
Mbbs in Medicine and Healthcare, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal

Students in the MBBS program at AlIMS Bhopal can expect a challenging and rigorous course of study. They will be required to attend lectures, participate in laboratory work, and complete clinical rotations. Additionally, students will be required to pass a number of exams and assessments throughout the program. However, there are also occasional fun events and hangouts that make the academics bearable.

A day in the life of an MBBS student at AIIMS Bhopal looks like this

  • 7:30–8:00: wake up
  • 8:30–12:30: classes
  • 1hr lunch break
  • 1:30–4:30: classes

Once the classes are over, you can do whatever you watch. Different students can be seen doing different things like playing games, studying, hanging out, watching movies, and other activities.

Life at AIIMS Bhopal is the right mix of fun and studies. Some students love exploring their books while some want to explore beyond. You are free to study whatever and from wherever you want. Such a sense of freedom is quite surreal.

Apart from academics, there are fests like Pravah, the intra-college sports and cultural fest. There are many extracurricular activities.

Overall, the life of an MBBS student at AIIMS Bhopal can be demanding and requires a high level of dedication and commitment. However, the quality of education and the opportunities for growth and development are unparalleled, and many students who graduate from the program go on to become successful and respected medical professionals.

What is the procedure for pursuing BA from IGNOU?

PG
Pooja Gour Posted On : October 21st, 2022
B.A Pol Sci & pub ad from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

There are no special requirements for admission to B.A.

All you need is a 12th (intermediate) diploma from a recognized board (state or CBSE, ICSE).

Previously, admission was only available through regional centers. However, an online system is now available.

IGNOU offers admission in two sessions, one in July and one in December.

Each course has a different fee; for political science, the fee is Rs. 2,000 per year or Rs. 6,000 for all three years.

For e.g:

If you want to do a B.A (graduation) in political science, you must read three compulsory course codes (Humanities, Foundation in Hindi, and Foundation in English) in the first year and choose two courses of political science with credit of 16 (two courses each 8 credits). It is possible to complete 16 credits in the first year.

In the second year, one course is required, which is the foundation in science and technology, and the rest of the courses are optional. However, you must complete at least four courses (including S&T) in the second year, and two application-oriented courses in the third year (it is a very easy course, one can do it in one week each)

For an honors degree, one must complete 48 credits (each course equals 8 credits) in one subject; for political science, 48 credits must be completed in political science. Geography requires 48 credit hours. If a student fails to complete 48 credits in a single subject, he will be awarded only a graduation degree, not an honors degree.

How hard is MBA admission at the Great Lakes (Chennai/Gurgaon)?

RS
Ruhee Singhania Posted On : March 16th, 2023
studied at Great Lakes

If you're considering Great Lakes Institute of Management (Chennai/Gurgaon) for MBA, you should be aware that it may not be a good option. There are numerous students with bad experiences during their interviews and found that the companies that come for placement are not very good. The placement process for the PGDM and PGPM batches of Great Lakes Chennai in 2023 has come to an end. The highest package offered was INR 46 LPA, while the average salary for the PGDM batch was INR 14.5 LPA and for the PGPM batch, it was INR 18.10 LPA. Additionally, the campus is small and lacks open spaces or grounds.

So if you're thinking about joining Great Lakes, you should be cautious. It's not a good idea to join just for the sake of doing an MBA. You should choose a business school that will help you build a successful career, not ruin it.

What would be better: CSE in IET DAVV or IT in SGSITS?

SM
Sanghita Mukharjee Posted On : June 6th, 2022
Bachelor of Engineering Electronics & Telecommunications, Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology

IT in SGSITS is better than CSE in IET DAVV. It is older and more recognized in the industry. It has an excellent student crowd. The environment on campus is competitive.

SGSITS placements are great for IT, due to the legacy of the institute. The median CTC of the branch is INR 5 LPA. L&T Infotech, ZS Associates India Pvt. Ltd., and Adani Group are some of the major recruiters for the branch.
