AP

B.E. from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal

Here is how to challenge a paper at RGPV.

  • Once the revaluation result is announced, challenging forms are accepted. If you are dissatisfied with the revaluation results, you can take on a challenge.

  • A maximum of two of your answer books in prescribed pro-farma can be challenged.

  • Only after the revaluation result has been declared can an application be made within a week.

  • After receiving your application for persuasion, RGPV will send a scanned copy of your answer books to your log-in ID on the University portal.

  • It is not possible to apply for a challenge for mid-semester exams, practical exams, internal assessments, Sessional works, and so on.

  • One must present his/her case to the Controller Examination Office via email, accompanied by relevant documents, justifying the answer for which he/she wishes to claim. Relevant documents should be included to back up the answer.

  • If the marks awarded during the challenge in the paper differ by more than 10% of the maximum marks in the subject, the candidate's result will be revised.

By visiting their official website, one can fill out the difficult RGPV form.

How do I convert my percentage into CGPA under RGPV University?

PJ
Priya Joshi Posted On : October 31st, 2022
B.E.(Mechanical) from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal

Different universities use various conversion methods and grading systems.

In the case of RGPV, the conversion base is 10. If you receive 78% or 78 marks out of 100, your SGPA/CGPA is 7.8 out of 10 according to RGPV. To convert it to Grade Point Average, simply divide the number by ten. Thus, by multiplying by 10, the reversal equivalent percentage can be calculated.

Equivalent Percentage = (SGPA/CGPA) × 10

If you turn over your RGPV Semester Marksheet, you will see a conversion Formula to convert your CGPA/SGPA into the equivalent percentage required in a few exam forms that must be submitted during application time.

If you require an RGPV equivalent percentage conversion form, simply provide a Xerox copy of the back side of your semester mark sheet. There is no need for a complex format or the signature and seal of the university/college head.

The method for calculating SGPA and CGPA is also provided on the back page of the semester mark sheets.

The following is the procedure for obtaining an original degree from the University via offline mode:

  • Download and print the main degree form from the RGPV website's download forms section.

  • Fill out this form completely.

  • Make photocopies of all of the semester's grade sheets.

  • Visit your college and have your form, as well as all photocopies of your mark sheets, attested by the principal or head of the institution.

  • Bring all of the above documents, as well as the original mark sheets, to the RGPV office near Bhopal airport.

  • Write an application to the RGPV registrar, explaining why you need your degree as soon as possible.

  • Get your challan of 250 from the Union Bank of India, which is located just behind the university's building on campus.

  • Submit your attested degree form, attested mark sheets for all semesters, application for an urgent degree requirement, and Rs. 250 challan on the first floor. They will collect all of your documents, give you a student copy of the challan, and direct you to the second floor, where you will be asked to return in a week.

  • Return to campus and go to room 501, show them your student copy of the challan, and ask for your degree; they will give you your degree. They then request that you go to the registrar's office and have your degree verified.

  • If you want to travel abroad, you must go to the Ballabh Bhavan (Higher Education Department) for verification.

  • They give you a form, which you must fill out and submit photocopies of your class 10th, 12th, and 8th-semester mark sheets, as well as a photocopy of your passport's first and last page and a photocopy of your original degree front and back.

After having your documents verified here, you must go to the HRD ministry in Delhi before traveling abroad for the same verification process.

What is the condition of RGPV Bhopal?

AN
Akarsh Neeraj Posted On : October 28th, 2022
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Chameli Devi Group Of Institutions (Graduated 2017)

The RGPV Bhopal or UIT ( University Institute of Technology) improved drastically over the past few years. The new director Dr. Rakesh Singhai has made a lot of changes to improve the quality of education.

If you are still confused about your decision then choose any other government or autonomous college only.

RGPV is better than most colleges in Bhopal. It has:

  • Highest package - 18 lakhs for 3 years by Mu Sigma

  • Better education standard as compared to other private colleges of Bhopal

  • Students here are competitive and career-focused

The only drawback is that you will have to self-study a lot more than other private colleges. Also, there is a lack of laboratory equipment in Petrochemical, automobile (partially) Civil (partially) and mechanical (partially).

Firstly contact your college’s Administration department. The college usually conducts counselling for change of branch right after first year examinations. This is decided on the basis of your marks in the first year.

Your principal or the Admission in charge will help you throughout the entire process.

Does the RGPV online transcript system send transcripts directly to WES?

AJ

One of my friends was a BE student from one of the RGPV affiliated colleges. She shared her experience of sending an online transcript to WES which wasn’t completely a smooth process. It is important to note that RGPV doesn't send transcripts and degrees directly to WES or outside India.

  •  First apply online to get the transcripts delivered to your postal address.

  • After a wait of 3 weeks you will receive your transcript by post. The post will contain 10 attested envelopes with 10 transcript copies.

  • After that, keep the photocopy of your degree along with a transcript in one of the attested envelopes.

  • For address fill in the following details: From- RGPV post office To- WES

  • Next visit your university and get a challan of INR 500 from the Union Bank. It’s just 250 m away from the university.

  • Hand over the challan along with your copy of the degree.

  • You will get a confirmation mail stating the estimated date of completion to be 30 days from the day they received the docs from the university

If you are still facing an issue, visit the university again till you get a confirmation mail.

Will I have to attend regular classes if I have a back subject in engineering last semester in RGPV or could I just take the exams next time?

KJ
Kavi Lucky Jain Posted On : October 21st, 2022
BCom from Bhopal School of Social Sciences (Graduated 2018)

You don’t have to necessarily attend classes for back paper. You can easily give exams of backlog papers without attending classes.

With the new semester, your focus will be on it. It will be difficult to attend classes for both regular and backlog.

The best option is self-study. If it’s a numerical paper, practice a lot regularly. You may take help from faculty, your seniors or even your batchmate who is good in that particular subject. This will not be difficult in RGPV. A bonus tip is to solve previous year's papers. This will save you time and give you a better picture of your exam.

Clear your back exams in time or you will face problems at the time of placement.

Is there a difference between RGTU and RGPV?

AS
Ashish Sharma Posted On : October 21st, 2022
Research Intern (2020- present)

No, there is no difference between RGTU and RGPV.

RGPV stands for Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. Almost all the private engineering colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh are affiliated to this technical university.

RGTU stands for Rajiv Gandhi Technical University which is simply the English translation for RGPV.

There is however one college about which students get confused a lot. It is UIT or University Institute of Technology. It is an autonomous govt engineering college located inside the premises of the RGPV campus. The syllabus for UIT is the same as other RGPV colleges. The only difference is that their exams and results are announced by UIT itself.

Yes, you can change your college after 1st year at RGPV. The entire process is conducted online by the university. After the first year comes to an end, RGPV releases an online form on the official website. You need to fill the form to apply for a college transfer. Follow these steps to complete the process:

  • Firstly consult the college you are willing to get transferred to and ask if they have vacant seats in their respective branch.

  • Ask your current college and the college you are getting transferred to to provide NOC (No-Objection Certificate). It is mandatory.

  • Fill out the online form and wait.

  • If many students have applied for the same college transfer, then they are selected on the basis of their academic scores.

Before filling the form, it is recommended personally visit the college you are getting transferred to at least once. Ask them everything clearly then initiate the process.
