How much value does an M.A in Economics from IGNOU add to your resume?

AS
Ayush Simple Posted On : October 20th, 2022
M.A. in Economics, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

MEC is recognised for government jobs such as the RBI and even the IES exams. It is a well-known degree. The prospects look promising.

Some of the issues are as follows:

  • There are many offset printing errors, so if you are not studying regularly and are not referring to other books, you will be confused and nowhere.

  • There are numerous topics about which counsellors are completely unaware. As a result, you may have difficulty grasping those concepts.

  • There are so many mathematical derivations that if you don't come from a mathematical background, you may struggle to understand and apply them in economic terms.

However, if you want to enrol, it is recommended that you be mentally prepared and not rely on the IGNOU Booklets. Use it to refer to topics and study them using reference books and other sources. To attend counselling sessions, you must go to the study centre. It will show you how to prepare for this course.

Is AIIMS Rishikesh better than other government medical colleges?

SS
Swati Srivastava Posted On : June 3rd, 2023

AIIMS Rishikesh is not comparable to the top 4 Delhi colleges like MAMC, UCMS, LHMC, and VMMC. It cannot even be compared to elite state colleges like SethGS, KGMC, GMC Chandigarh, MCK, SMS, SCB, BJMC- Guj, IMS-BHU, and BMCRI. AIIMS Rishikesh is nowhere near the league of prestigious colleges like AFMC and JIPMER too. Sparing the above-mentioned colleges, AIIMS Rishikesh is better than most government colleges.

However, it’s important to note that AIIMS is not just an institute but a brand. It enjoys national importance and thus in the years to come it’s expected to surpass colleges like MAMC and UCMS.

Overall, I consider AIIMS Rishikesh better than most government colleges.

Should I go for M.Math program at ISI Kolkata?

RP
Ritwik Patnayak Posted On : September 16th, 2021
Studies Mathematics (PG) at Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) ,Kolkata (2023)

M.Math is quite thorough in different ways, it is best not to end up opting for it without vital information. As a brief interpretation, you really do not require programming skills to further opt for the M.Math course.

  • A very intensive knowledge of linear algebra, real analysis, and basic abstract algebra is required prior to joining the M.Math course. Despite that, the course is very challenging.
  • The academic background does not necessarily affect the course you are about to take up. There are students who arrive from an engineering background.
  • It is best to go through the coursework of Mathematics and decide whether or not you are inclined towards it or not.

M.Math students usually secure placements at a variety of companies, but achieving that howsoever is extremely difficult. Thus, choose only if you are confident.
