How are the hostel rooms at IIIT Allahabad? Can you share some pictures of your room?
The hostel rooms at IIIT Allahabad are pretty decent. A typical room comprises a bed, a table, a chair, and an almirah. However, you might be disappointed by the initial condition of your room. You will have to modify it as per your needs. The room is pretty spacious around 10x8 ft in size.

How is the girl’s hostel facility at the Central University of Punjab? What are the rules of the hostel?
Central University of Punjab has recently moved to a new permanent campus, which has cabins constructed at every free space possible, such as the sports hall and parking areas. Doctoral students are given a single-seated room (cabin) until the year 2016, while master's students are given a room on a sharing basis.
The rules for the hostel are relatively lenient now compared to the past. Girls are allowed to study in the library even after midnight, but they are not permitted to roam around the campus after dinner. There is no nightlife available on campus, but students can use the library or stay in their rooms to study. The hostels and campus offer Wi-Fi, RO water, and geysers. However, air conditioning or ducting in the rooms is not possible since the cabins are temporary, portable structures. During the summer, the temperature can reach up to 46 degrees Celsius, making the rooms feel like a furnace unless a cooler is used.
Overall, the facilities are good enough to survive, but they are not enough to have a great time. If you cannot compromise on hostel facilities, it is recommended that you look for another university since Bathinda is not a very developed or urbanized city, but more like a town.
How are the hostel rooms at NLIU Bhopal?
NLIU Bhopal offers decent hostel accommodation. They offer all the basic amenities.
The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. You need to clean your rooms regularly, during your stay. The washrooms are hygienic and well-maintained.
Although, there’s a slight problem with bugs at NLIU Bhopal Hostel. You will find lots of them everywhere. This is something that you need to get used to.
Is there single room occupancy in bimtech?
There are four different programmes that are taken at BIMTECH. Hostel rooms are provided to male students who are enrolled in the PGDM programme, which is considered the school's flagship programme.
For the other three courses, the availability of rooms is determined by a variety of different criteria. These considerations include the number of vacancies that were left after admitting the PGDM 2nd year batch, the number of male students who are enrolled in the 2nd year batch of each of the other three programmes, and the number of new ladies that were admitted in the 1st year. The administration will decide whether students from PGDM IB, PGDM RM, or PGDM IBM will be given rooms based on these considerations. The courses in question are: PGDM IB, PGDM RM, and PGDM IBM. However, the boys' hostel only has 212 rooms, therefore there is a restricted selection of available rooms to choose from.
How is the hostel facility at BIMM Pune?
One of my cousins shared his experience about the hostels at BIMM, Pune. He said it is a constituent institute of Sri Balaji University, Pune (SBUP). Thus, BIMM is one out of the four institutions housed by SBUP.
Talking about the hostels, he explained that they are really good.
- For all the four colleges there are separate floors available. Every room is spacious. There are cleaning timing and facilities.
- A gym, swimming pool, and playing area are also available at the hostel.
- Facilities such as drinking water coolers, lockable steel almirah, and in-room furniture are provided.
- The hostel also provides laundry services.
- Mess is just outside the hostel.
- The hostel timings are very strict.
- There is a biometric attendance done every day for all those staying at the hostel.
- A doctor is also available at the hostel for providing basic first-aid and treating minor illnesses.
The only drawback is that there is a fewer number of rooms available and hence rooms are provided on the “first come-first serve” basis.

The CMC Ludhiana Girls Hostel is located in the city of Ludhiana, in the state of Punjab, India. It is specifically designed to accommodate female students. From what I have heard from my friends, the hostel is decent with all basic amenities. It's much better than the hostels of government colleges. Recently, a new hostel has been built which has modern facilities so you dont have to worry about hostel facilities here at all. I even got 2 pics from my friends for reference

Is it compulsory to stay in the hostel at IIM Rohtak for all 5 years while doing IPM there? Also, do they have a rigid academic session where 90 attendance is compulsory?
Yes, IPM and the majority of other programs are offered entirely in residence on all IIM campuses.
For the purpose of clarification, the attendance policy is actually 100% mandatory (at least on paper). You must now obtain permission to miss classes and leave campus. Medical emergencies, urgent family functions, and so on are examples of exceptions.
Other rules that affect the daily lives of students are:
- Night curfews: First-year students are not permitted to leave their hostels after 10:30 p.m. Things become more relaxed as you advance in maturity level.
- Lights out time: During the first month, this is usually strictly enforced until you get acclimatized. The light-out time was mostly kept on paper then.
- Yoga: Yoga classes are required five days a week.
- Restriction: You can leave campus without permission only on Sundays; otherwise, a gate pass is required. Again, as you become senior, this becomes less strict.
- Discipline: Yes, there have been terminations based on disciplinary issues such as drinking, PDAs, and so on. As the other answer stated, you can't really escape.
What are the current hostel conditions at MNNIT Allahabad (rooms, mess)?
The fresher B.Tech boys get Swami Vivekanand Boys’ Hostel at MNNIT Allahabad. It is the best out of all the boys’ hostels at our college. The college management does everything to create a cheerful and positive environment for freshers.
Here are some details about SVBH (freshers’ hostel)-
- The rooms are three-seater and spacious enough for three people.
- Each student gets a bed, a study table, a chair and an almirah (with ample space).
- The seven-storeyed hostel building contains four water coolers on every floor.
- There are two common rooms with a television in each. We watch movies and enjoy cricket matches over there.
- The hostel also has its own shop for stationary and other basic necessities.
- Alongside the TV rooms is a paid canteen from where you can buy snacks even during late night.
- The wifi routers are 8 on each floor, 4 in each wing. One can access sufficient range and speed with some vpn and proxy settings.
- The rooms are cleaned regularly, and they are always in a hygienic condition.
- The hostel premises have sufficient space for late night walks.
- The washrooms are hygienic, but there’s always a rush outside them in the morning.
- The mess serves a variety of meals, but the food is very average in taste.
- All the messes on campus serve strictly vegetarian meals.
- Two messes operate in the SVBH hostel simultaneously, each having a capacity to cater to 70-80 students at a time. This has been done to ensure proper services during rush hours.
You’ll enjoy your stay at the MNNIT Allahabad hostels, and make plenty of friends during these four years.
How are the boys hostels alloted for freshers at MANIT Bhopal?
As a fresher at MANIT Bhopal, I am eligible to answer this question.
First-year boys get Hostel 10 at MANIT. After you submit your fees during the counseling, they'll ask whether you need the hostel or not. On saying yes, they'll point you to two members of the hostel authority. These people will ask for a photocopy of your ID and fee receipt. After submitting the mess fee for the first two months, you’ll have to go to Hostel 10 for the room allotment process.
The warden office is where these allotments take place. They'll ask for a photocopy of your ID and fee receipt. After this, they'll assign you the room and give you a mess card. Freshers get blocks C and D. Each block has 4 floors, and each floor has 32 rooms. The rooms are two-seater, but due to lack of accommodation, three students share a single room. The rooms (except those on the ground floor) have a balcony each and are decent.
