VIT Vellore has much much better scope than VIT Pune and is also ranked better than BUT Pune. However, the VIT Pune curriculum is much better. So if you want an in-depth knowledge of the branch you should consider VIT Pune but if you are looking for a better placement scenario, then VIT Vellore it is.

Ultimately, it’s not the college but your efforts that matter.

Based on mine and my friends’ experiences, here are some points I would like for you to consider in this regard-

1. The branch should always be your top priority. For a dual degree in CSE at BITS Hyderabad, you’ll need to score more than 7.6 CG. That would mean an average +30 in most subjects (relative grading). Phoenix Dual is a better option than VIT CSE.
2. Dual degree will take away a lot from your campus life. You won’t be able to enjoy clubs and events to the fullest.
3. BITS Hyderabad undoubtedly has a better crowd quality. Moreover, it carries the prestigious ‘BITS’ tag.
4. BITS will give you a more quality campus experience with better academics.

The decision has to be made by you, but I hope that these points will guide you. Whatever you choose, make sure to maintain a good academic performance in college, so that you end up getting decent job offers.

As a CSE student at VIT Vellore, I was also faced with the same dilemma.

First of all, there is a ragging culture at NIT Durgapur. It does carry the NIT, but it lags behind the top NITs. Apart from that, Metallurgy does not offer much scope in India. 

The placement figures mentioned on their website, however, are quite promising. 

During the 2023 placement season, MME recorded 90.32% placements with an average package of 8.79 LPA.

Now coming to VIT Vellore, there is no ragging on campus. It offers all the top-class facilities, great environment and friendly crowd. CSE is the best branch of VIT Vellore. The college offers good placements and infrastructure.

According to me, choosing CSE at VIT Vellore is a better option.

Personally, I feel VIT Vellore is a much better option than DSCE. Except for its location, VIT Vellore has an upper hand in almost all aspects be it infrastructure or placements. However, if you are not getting a branch of your choice at VIT Vellore or you are getting a less preferred branch, then DSCE can be considered. But if you are getting CS, ISE, ECE, and EEE at VIT Vellore then it should be given a preference to DSCE. Considering specific parameters

• Quality of education: Both institutes have equally good academic environments and highly qualified teachers.
• Infrastructure: VIT Vellore definitely scores better here because of its huge campus and facilities that are way ahead that DSCE. Don’t get me wrong, DSCE is one of the best in Bangalore but its size is nowhere near VIT Vellore.
• Placements: DSCE has 100% placements for CSE but average placements for core branches. VIT Vellore again scores better here.

Overall, VIT Vellore seems a more promising choice than DSCE although the difference seems to be very slight. 

Here are my honest views on which college you should choose for your B.Tech IT-

VIT Vellore grants admissions based on VITEEE, which is an all India exam. Students from all over India take part in this entrance. On the other hand, VIT Pune grants admissions mainly on the basis of MH-CET, in which a limited number of students participate.

VIT Vellore has a diverse crowd whereas, mostly localities join VIT Pune. Other than that, VIT Vellore follows no reservation policy for its admissions, but MH-CET has a high number of reserved seats.

VIT Vellore offers good placements in B.Tech IT. The campus organizes plenty of competitions, fests and events throughout the year. This college provides plenty of growth opportunities to its students.

For IT, or for any other engineering branch, I would recommend you choose VIT Vellore over VIT Pune. 

VIT is leading in terms of ranking over NIT Silchar, and this is because

• The excellence and number of sponsored projects undertaken and completed by VIT faculty members are incomparable to those of NIT Silchar faculty members.
• The number of Publications in Journals and conferences by faculty members and students is far higher at the VIT.
• The perception of VIT students in reputed graduate Schools is first-rate.

So it is better to choose VIT than NIT Silchar.

If you are considering pursuing an MBA (Tech.), then it is important to choose a college that can provide you with the best education and career prospects. In this regard, NMIMS is considered to be a top-ranked college in India for MBA (Tech.) programs.

Here are some points to consider:

• NMIMS is an accredited grade-A university that is ranked among the top 20 colleges in India. The college has a reputation for providing high-quality education and has a strong alumni network.
• On the other hand, Jaypee and VIT do not have the same level of accreditation or ranking. They may not be able to provide you with the same quality of education or opportunities as NMIMS.
• Faculty is a crucial factor in determining the quality of education in any college. NMIMS has a team of experienced and well-qualified faculty members who can provide you with excellent guidance and support throughout your MBA (Tech.) program.
• In terms of environment, NMIMS offers a competitive and dynamic environment that can help you grow and develop your skills. The college has state-of-the-art facilities, modern infrastructure, and a vibrant campus life.
• Pursuing an MBA (Tech.) requires a significant investment of time and resources. It is important to choose a college that can provide you with good career prospects. NMIMS has a strong track record of placements with top companies, both in India and abroad.

While Jaypee and VIT may have their strengths in other areas, it is advisable to choose a college that is best suited for your specific needs and goals. When it comes to MBA (Tech.), NMIMS is definitely one of the top choices in India.
