NMIMS is the more established B-school amongst these three as it is ranked 13th while VIT and Jaypee are ranked 55th and 80th respectively by NIRF. VIT and Jaypee are more so renowned for their offerings in engineering courses but they too possess highly qualified faculty for MBA who strive to curate global leaders. VIT also offers a global immersion programme in collaboration with top institutes of Europe and USA.

Eligibility

NMIMS-

  • Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
  • For the Dual Degree program, applicants must have a minimum TOEFL score of 93 with minimum sections score or IELTS with 7.0 or higher.

Jaypee-

  • A student must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from any recognised university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.

VIT-

  • A bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration after the completion of the higher secondary education (10+2) or equivalent and 60% throughout academics.
  • Relevant work experience will serve as an advantage if provided.

Admission:

  • NMIMS: Applicants have to appear for NPAT. Later, the shortlisted candidates will undergo Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI).
  • Jaypee: A candidate must qualify any of these entrance tests- CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT/ATMA. Shortlisted candidates are then called for Group Discussion (GD) and PI. The final selection occurs based on the test scores, language proficiency, and performance in GD & PI.
  • VIT: The admission is based on the scores of WAT, PI, XAT/CMAT/CAT/GMAT/ATMA/NMAT/MAT.

Campus Life:

  • At NMIMS, the student intake is 500 while at VIT and Jaypee it is 180 and 120 respectively. 
  • The diverse crowd at VIT and NMIMS, increases holistic development of a student with events all round the year. 
  • NMIMS and VIT also provide international student transfer and global immersion programmes.

Placements:

The placements at NMIMS, Jaypee, VIT differ in large numbers owing to their brand value and industry connection along with an alumni network. This can be seen directly through their placement statistics. NMIMS, being a Management college has an edge over Jaypee & VIT.
