Why is JBIMS and not IIM A or XLRI, known as the “CEO Factory of India”?

JT
Jayant Thakur Posted On : February 28th, 2023
MSc Finance, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (2019)

It can be affirmatively stated that JBIMS is considered one of the best business schools in India. The trio of IIM A/B/C holds a distinct brand value compared to other top colleges in the country and globally. The brand recognition and respect of the IIM institutes have increased due to its status as an "Institutes of National Importance" and the widespread accomplished alumni base both in and outside of India.

JBIMS boasts an impressive list of notable alumni, including Vinita Bali, the Managing Director of Britannia, Lalita D. Gupte, Chairperson of ICICI Venture Funds Management Company, and Chanda Kochhar, Managing Director & CEO of ICICI Bank, India, just to name a few. Moreover, the Managing Directors and CEOs of some of India's largest companies such as ICICI, HUL, Kotak Mahindra, and Piramal are alumni of JBIMS.

What is the least package offered in FMS Delhi?

VG
Vivek Gaur Posted On : December 29th, 2022
Chief Educator & Director at ReGraduate | MBA, FMS Delhi

The salary-wise placement statistics of this year at FMS are as follows

Below INR 20 LPA: 13

INR 20 LPA – INR 24.9 LPA: 89

INR 25 LPA – INR 29.9 LPA: 33

Above INR 30 LPA: 122

So it can be inferred from the above data that the lowest package was around 5-15 LPA. Such low packages are accepted by students who are in desperate situations. This can be due to a poor CV or lack of communication or an inability to handle the stressful placement process. Such desperate situations result in compromising brand name, CTC, location, domain, or designation.

So if you are concerned that the lowest package is less than what you are expecting, rest assured. Because you can still work in improving your profile, work on your content and communication and make the best of the on and off-campus opportunities.

Which would be a better choice for a one-year MBA in India, IIM Bangalore (EPGP), IIM Ahmedabad (PGPX), or ISB(PGP)?

AB
Aditi Banerjee Posted On : October 20th, 2023
Lives in Bangalore

All the three options are equally good. The choice depends on your profile and career goals. Here are some details regarding these options to assist you-

  • Student Profile- The target students of ISB PGP and IIM Ahmedabad PGPX are slightly different. ISB prefers professionals with 2+ years of experience, and IIMA prefers those with 4 to 5 years of experience.
  • Ranking- IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and ISB are all highly ranked business schools. They are among the top 50 business schools in the world. All three are at par with one another.
  • Batch size- ISB PGP intakes 500+ students at a time, and IIMA PGPX intakes 100+. A bigger batch size means more opportunities, while a smaller batch size means stronger teacher- student relations.
  • Flagship Program- One year PGP is the flagship program of ISB.

These are some parameters to help you make a choice. All the three are excellent colleges, and you should choose among them based on your personal goals.

How is the mess food at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus?

SD
Shruti Dasgupta Posted On : August 5th, 2023
Student at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani

BITS Pilani has the best mess food of any other institute in India. They fed us delicious food that felt homey. Students also have access to small shops nearby to satisfy their bellies. The students are given non-vegetarian food on all days except Tuesdays, and on some days they will get add-ons like ice cream and sweets. So do not worry about the food available here. BITS Pilani never disappoints you.

How do I remain motivated for AIIMS Delhi?

VM
Vedant Mishra Posted On : May 31st, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi

The best way is not to focus on any college while preparing. Let your inner self motivate you because if you don’t end up in your dream college, you will face a lot of backlash and feel mentally drained. This may hinder your growth. Always be ready to give your best. Make sure your results are improving every time and any shortcomings should be taken as motivation to work harder.

  • Set specific, achievable goals for yourself.
  • Create a study schedule and stick to it. Make sure to schedule breaks, as well.
  • Surround yourself with positive influences.
  • Reward yourself for your accomplishments.
  • Stay positive and remind yourself of why you're working so hard.
  • Look at the toppers of previous examinations that might motivate you.
  • Watching videos of toppers on YouTube is also a good source of motivation.
  • Tell yourself, you are not preparing for AIIMS Delhi but for the next test.

Remember that motivation is not always easy to come by, and it's okay to take a break and relax when you need it. Don't be too hard on yourself, and always keep in mind that progress takes time.

How will be the placement in NSIT mechanical?

RT
Raktim Tarafdar Posted On : August 21st, 2023

The first placement drive for the Mechanical branch of NSUT was held in 2019 and my brother participated in it. The offers received were a combination of the following

  • Core Jobs: Students of Mechanical and MPAE branches were after core jobs and quite a few companies visited the college. Some of these were Hero, Vedanta, Reliance, Anand Automobile, Rockwell Automation, IGL, etc. In all, 10 students from ME were placed in core companies.
  • Non-Technical Jobs: The maximum offers came from non-technical companies for a number of profiles like Data Analytics, Business Development, etc. Some non-technical recruiters included ZS Associates, Deloitte, Cogoport, BCG, Bain, etc. All, 20 students from ME got placed in non-technical companies.
  • Technical Jobs: These jobs are scanty and most companies prefer recruiting a bow average candidate for the Circuit branch than an above-average student of the core branch. A few technical companies that visited were OLA, OYO, and WIPRO. In all, 5-7 students from ME were placed in IT companies.

This scenario is from 2019 and things might have become better now. Since the institute does not release official figures, here is what I got from a friend.

  • NSUT Delhi Mechanical Engineering's highest salary package offered is 24 LPA.
  • NSUT Delhi Mechanical Engineering average salary package offered ranges between 9 LPA - 12 LPA.
  • The branch records 100% Placements
  • Top recruiters include Hero, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, Honda, Bajaj, PSU, etc.,

Hope you now have a better understanding of the placement scenario of NSUT Delhi Mechanical Branch.

What is so special about students from AIIMS, Delhi, considering most of the top 10 students in the AIIMS PG are from AIIMS Delhi, though the study materials used by aspirants are the same everywhere?

AG
Aditya Ghose Posted On : June 1st, 2023
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi

AIIMS UG students are well aware of their potential to stand out in a crowd and it is their high potential that makes them work hard again for PG. They have already worked hard to get UG admission and they know only their hard work will drive them to get PG admission. There are many perks of being a student at AIIMS Delhi. AIIMS UG students achieve that tag by working hard and working smart.

  • Highly qualified faculty that provides excellent mentorship
  • A diverse patient inflow of both common and rare diseases.
  • A highly competitive college environment.
  • AIIMS Delhi has highly supportive seniors and you will be surprised to know that they even take lectures for us and teach clinical guidelines way before the faculties teach them.
  • The professional exams are much more challenging compared to the AIIMS PG exam. These exams have both MCQs as well as theoretical questions.
  • The pedagogy adopted is modern and creative.
  • ACCC (Acute Critical Care Course), a course similar to BLS /ACLS is being launched by AIIMS faculty for MBBS students.

These are some of the reasons why most of the students to clear PG are from AIIMS Delhi. However, anyone who works hards and studies passionately can clear the AIIMS PG exam.
