This is true that IIITM Gwalior is not the same as before and there are 2 main reasons for it - Academics and Research.
Any college's fate lies in the vision of the director and unfortunately, the dean of IIITM Gwalior doesn't focus much on academics and rather focuses on unnecessary things like exam duties, staff handling, transportation, and all.
This is not all and there is a chain of events that are happening and making the situation worse.
Some of the observation include:
- This college is autonomous and hence all its decisions are made here. The problem lies in the fact that all the decisions are made on the go and there is no pre-planning of any task.
- The main disgrace is academics. A professor of another field is taking lectures on another subject. What do you think of academics then?
- The feedback is just a waste and no action is taken depending on the response of the student.
- Faculties are the soul of any educational institute. Faculty here are living in their old vibes and fighting each other, satisfying their ego. They stand nowhere against the faculty of IITs and NITs.
- The placement cell is bogus and they try to provide minimum help to the student. Students here are mostly placed off-campus depending on their skillset and coding skills.
- The politics that goes around at every level of the institute.

The condition of Research is also pathetic. There is no support from the professor on how to write research papers and publish them. Also, they have no collaboration with any industries and R&D labs.

What is the difference between a BBA and BBA (Honours) at Christ University?
In terms of syllabus and curriculum, the BBA (Hons) offered by Christ University is better. Most MNCs prefer BBA (Hons) to BBA. This course is ideal for students who want to go abroad after graduation. The BBA (Hons) degree has many options for credit transfer as well.
Other than these there is no such big difference between the two degrees. Both will offer you good exposure and opportunities.
Which ranks higher: NSIT, DTU, or an NIT?
It’s hard to determine the worth and credibility of these institutes just by looking at official rankings. So I will be taking into consideration some criteria
- Placements: The placement scenario and opportunities offered at all these institutes are equally good as similar companies visit for placements. Companies like Google and Facebook conduct an open test like APAC so students of all institutes get equal opportunities.
- Campus life: In terms of the campus and city life offered, my preference order would be DTU = NSIT > NIT. Being in Delhi, NSIT and DTU offer better opportunities and exposure. Delhi has it all, major corporate headquarters, the media, and top colleges like IIT-D and DU to compete with.
- Student pool: The peer group has a massive effect on you and helps you in determining your interests and activities and grooming your personality. The ranking of colleges depends solely on the type of crowd you are looking for. If you are from south India, you would prefer to join NIT- Trichy. So this aspect cannot be generalized at all.
- Campus: A dynamic college life is very important to break from occasional strenuous situations. In that aspect, NIT offers the best campus life followed by DTU and NSIT.
- Faculty: The faculty pool is better at NIT than at NSIT and DTU. NIT is a central government institute and has a better recruitment process so filtration is better.
- Alumni: Alumni network plays a big role in your institute’s reputation in the corporate sector and can help you financially with your startup idea. That being said, DTU and NIT Trichy have the best alumni network followed by other NITs and NSITs.
It’s best to go for the college that is best suitable for you alone and not just because it has good rankings.
How is the BIMTECH retail management course?
BIMTECH is considered among the top B-Schools in India. BIMTECH was a pioneer in bringing PG-level courses in Retail as well as Insurance thus enjoying a strong brand -pull from the top recruiters from this domain.
- Also, the placement record of the last three years for both the courses has been quite good. In the 2021 placements, the average CTC offered at the institute was 8 LPA, while the highest CTC was 16 LPA.
- Retail is a specialized form of marketing. For this course, BIMTECH assists its students with quality faculties and facilities.
Overall, the retail management course offered at the institute is quite good. On the official website of the institute, you will get information regarding various other factors such as previous placements, location, infrastructure, industrial exposure, faculty, activities on campus, etc.
Which is good, ITM Navi Mumbai or Jaipuria?
Jaipuria Institute of Management is the best choice in terms of faculty, campus life, industry experience and placements. My friends have studied here and had the best experience of their academic life.
- The faculty members are well-experienced and most of them have a Ph.D. degree with 10-15 years of industry exposure.
- The class environment at the institute consists of practical exposure. It will help you in building practical skills. You will be taught about the industry and its functions.
- The students here are constantly engaged in extra-curricular activities and a lot of events are also organized.
- There is a lively atmosphere at both hostels and classrooms.
- The fee structure can be an issue for some students as the total fee for PGDM is 10.55 Lakhs.
Placements for PGDM are excellent and various well-known companies visit the campus for recruitment. The salary packages offer a good return on your investments.
For the recent batch of 2020, the highest package offered was 19 Lakhs by Amazon and the highest International package recorded was 14.3 Lakhs. Top recruiters for this session were HDFC Bank, IDFC Bank, HCL, and Deloitte.
