What has more value, an IPM from IIM Indore or a BBA from some reputed college and then an MBA from some top IIM?

FS
Farah Shah Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Studies Integrated Programme in Management, IIM Indore (Expected 2024)

First, keep in mind that you're looking for a program that will help you develop your entire personality while also giving you access to cutting-edge amenities and facilities and an assured MBA from one of the best B schools in the nation. The IPM course offered by IIM Indore is ideal for you if this is what you're looking for.

If, however, you are solely interested in a BBA program and are confident that you can enter IIM ABC after BBA despite the competition from roughly 2 lakh engineers, then go for it.

However, if you choose to do so, you also have the choice to leave the IPM after receiving your undergraduate degree and enroll in a better business school to complete your MBA. Therefore, if you must choose between the two, it is advised that you go with the first because it will give you better exposure, a more competitive environment, better amenities, and a rare opportunity to graduate from an IIM that is among the top 5 in the nation.

Which should I pick for an MBA in Finance, IIFT or IIM Indore?

GR
Gourav Raj Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Studied at Indian Institute of Management Indore

For the reasons listed below, you ought to select IIM Indore:

  • Other institutions might be excellent ones, but IIMs are a community. The tag is beneficial.
  • The peer network you establish is the main thing you take away from a business school. You will have the chance to interact with a tremendously large group of people.
  • Gain a competitive advantage with the campus recruiters. There regularly operate businesses like McKinsey, BCG, DB, Goldman Sachs, and many others.

In terms of infrastructure and natural beauty, the 197-acre campus ranks among the best B-school campuses in the nation.

Do 12th board marks matter a lot in IPM IIM Indore admissions?

HN
Hardik Nagar Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Educationist, Aptitude Trainer, Student Mentor

No, they wouldn't be holding GD and PI if it had been important to IPM IIM Indore admissions.
You must, however, also be taking the entrance exam for other programs. The following are the causes:

  • The 5-year IIM Indore program is not the best or the most worthwhile route to graduation for anyone. Nobody, however, can contest the opportunities for employment and other benefits.
  • It is very expensive.
  • You may regret not taking additional science or social science courses during your undergraduate or graduate studies. You should always keep in mind that you can take business studies at any point in your academic career.

You should always have a plan B or C in place because, despite your best efforts, there will be a possibility that you might not be able to clear the test.

Which program is better, PGP HRM at IIM Indore or PGPM at IIM Sambalpur?

SJ
Sidhharth Jain Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Director, T.I.M.E, Pune IIT, IIM Grad. 30 yrs INTL Corp exp

A specific program at one IIM cannot be compared to a general program at another IIM.

In any case, you shouldn't think about enrolling in a course at IIM Sambalpur. It is too recent and has no prior performance. Additionally, given its location, it won't even draw in top faculty. Instead of IIM Sambalpur, you would be much better off attending some high-quality non-IIM colleges.

The best institute for HR professionals is currently XLRI, followed by TISS, Mumbai. Considering that IIMI is one of the top IIMs and has a brand-new HR program, your learning and employment prospects are both promising. However, make sure you enjoy HR. It is practically impossible to later switch out of HR once you are in it.

Which is a better college for Finance specialization, SPJIMR or IIM Indore?

S
Sagardeep Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Full Time in MBA in Finance, S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) (Graduated 2017)

The following is what SPJIMR has to offer:

The professors have a wealth of knowledge. And because this program has been running for more than three years, everything that needs to be taught and at what level is in perfect sync. This makes sure that no subject is covered again in the SP Finance Specialization semester.

The subjects covered, such as Financial Statement Analysis, Leveraged Buy-Out, Portfolio Analysis, etc., happen to be the most crucial for placements. These topics will already be covered during the specialization semester, but at Cornell, they will be covered from a different angle that will aid in your understanding of the material.

75 recruiters, 33 of whom were new recruiters, visited the campus, according to the report. Accenture, Aditya Birla Capital, Amazon, American Express, and others were among the top employers. The highest package offered during the placement drive was INR 53.16 LPA, while the average package was INR 32.06 LPA.

You can also choose a minor in information management, operations, marketing, consulting, etc. to broaden your knowledge and help you convince recruiters to hire you for a position in consulting or banking.

I can’t afford the fees of IIM Indore IPM. Should I stop dreaming about it?

S
Sagardeep Posted On : January 11th, 2023
The Banyan Tree School, Delhi (Graduated 2015)

Coming from a financially challenging background, it is highly unlikely that you are interested in management purely out of interest. Now, you can think about IPM if you want to study management. Banks will grant loans to you without requiring much in the way of security. Additionally, since those loans will be your responsibility, your parents won't be responsible if you later become unable to make your payments due to unforeseeable circumstances.

Now for the next thing. Since you haven't specified your level of knowledge and skills, If you are currently brilliant, my recommendation is that you enroll in any graduate program that you like or would be your second choice. Look into B.Com and BBA as they can be sensible options, and if your interest still holds after earning your bachelor's degree, try to get into FPM or IIM Indore.

IPM isn't simple to get into, and if you stop and think about it, you can get along just fine without it too.

TLDR: Of the top 20 or 30 B-schools, IPM has one of the lowest ROIs. An MBA will cost you INR 14 while giving you a better understanding if you want to pursue management. Your entire course fee may be around INR 30 lakhs.

How are the two IPMAT exams different? Should I appear for both IIM Indore and Rohtak or should I just take the exam for IIM Indore?

DA
Dimple Ahuja Posted On : January 11th, 2023
BMS from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (Graduated 2022)

IIM Indore IPMAT is influenced entirely in favor of candidates who took math in the 12th standard. The quant is entirely from math class 12th.

The quant and Lr sections of the IIM ROHTAK IPMAT are fairly simple for anyone who has thoroughly reviewed all the topics. Both entrances share a lot of similarities in the verbal section. You must have a solid command of the English language. It is impossible to compare IPM INDORE and Rohtak. Take both exams, but don't give Rohtak any thought. Just decide what you want to achieve at IIM Indore.

Strive to earn it. Both entrances have entirely different Quant sections. Just read through Rohtaks' curriculum for the time being. It won't take much of your time. Review your math from grades 11 and 12 for IIMI. Create a daily routine of reading the newspaper and answering questions for verbal. Start reading books, novels, and magazines if you have the time.

What should I prefer, IPM IIM Indore or a B.Tech from IIT/NIT?

JJ
Jason Jose Posted On : January 11th, 2023
IIT Kanpur

For admission to its five-year course, IPM, IIM Indore administers the IPMAT aptitude test (Integrated Program in Management). IIM Indore offers IPM as a dual degree program (bachelor's + master's) for students who have completed the 12th grade. It is a program that enables entry into an IIM immediately following the 12th grade.

IIM offers a much better compensation package than any IIT or NIT. With the exception of a select few, the number of engineers in this group increased significantly.

Consider the following factors before choosing a college:

When it comes to partnerships with businesses and foreign institutions, IIM is the best. This greatly aids a college's growth and ability to improve its placements, ranking, and access to education abroad.

One of the most significant social influences today is brand, which has an impact on those in your immediate vicinity. IIM Indore has recorded a 6% increase in average salary, which has increased to Rs. 25.01 lakhs per annum in placement 2022 from Rs. 23.6 lakhs per annum last year. The average salary of the top 100 students in the batch has also increased, to Rs. 37.95 LPA from Rs. 33 LPA last year. In Placement 2022, the highest salary was Rs. 49 LPA, compared to Rs. 41.5 LPA the previous year.

Can a non-math student easily crack an MBA from IIM Indore and the IPM exams?

YD
Yaseer Das Posted On : January 11th, 2023
IPM from Indian Institute of Management Indore (Graduated 2022)

To incorporate the non-math students, mathematics is only kind of difficult on the 10th CBSE board. The catch is that you need some speed and practice because there are nearly 30K people vying for it. The interview follows, and WAT (Written Aptitude Test). But that will not matter to anyone. Only questions from your syllabus will be asked of you during the interview.

The tasks you must complete as a non-math student are listed below.

  • Review your NCERT math textbook for the 10th grade.
  • Grammar exercises from a reliable 12th Standard English reference. Arihant All in One can be used.
  • Practice the questions from last year with a time limit. Try to follow the procedures from previous years and some sample test questions.
