Yes. It is absolutely worth joining IIM Indore for the IPM Program. Though, you need to clear the IPMAT and the interviews. One of my friends had completed the IPM program at IIM Indore and here are some facts that may be useful to you.

• You will have some very interesting subjects from the trinity of mathematics, social science, and performing arts. It will equip you with really dynamic skills and significant learning.
• You will meet some of the best minds from diverse backgrounds in this course. 
• There are over 15000 applications for 120 seats. Thus, you can assume the quality of peer and peer learning.
• The campus has two well-equipped gyms, an Olympic-size pool, a Finance resource centre, an Entrepreneurial incubation cell, and an Onus cashless card payment system. 
• Also, there are regular shuttle bus services for going into the city.
• The daily schedule of the students is usually packed with classes in the morning and maybe a few more in the afternoon. 
• After that, there is a complete makeover, students run to juice centers, along with the Chai shops, special Indori Poha at Poha point, HUL's Adda, and many other eating points. 

In the evening, things are a bit relaxed as people pursue their interests, sports or hang out with their friends. Things might be hectic on some days, but it will not be boring at IIM Indore.

The new campus of NIT-P is set beautifully on a plot of 280 acres. One of the beautiful things about the campus is that it is set on a seashore which makes the nearby atmosphere very calm and soothing. The new building has a separate science block which is huge and is connected to the nearby hostel and the canteen too. 

The new building has labs and workshop rooms which are equipped with the latest tech and pieces of equipment. The new building also has no water problem as compared to the old one. For electricity and power, there have been no issues so far. There is a 24 hr drinking water facility available. Sometimes there are some long power cuts which are informed beforehand as the building is under construction.

Mandi is a beautiful place. The transit campus is located near a very large ground called the paddal ground, surrounded by mountains on all sides, a river flowing right next to the campus.

Facilities

• Although there's not a lot of entertainment facilities like malls and shopping complexes or big multiplexes, there's a small “kusum” theatre where you can go.
• For shopping there is Indira market where you can find everything you need from a needle to a home theatre system. All electronics stuff like ICS Motors etc. is also available.
• There are a lot of small hospitals in Mandi and you get free treatment as an IIT student.
• There are new places to eat in Mandi market, so don't forget to explore.
• There's a bakery shop called Raman Bakery For amazing pastries and cakes. Also, you get the variety of Pizzas Puffs and a variety of desserts.
• Also, one of the famous spots is Honey Hut. It's a small café in Mandi that serves Awesome Burgers, Pizzas Rolls and a good variety of desserts.

Placement Details:

It has no train connectivity as it is a hilly region. Volvo from Delhi or Chandigarh is the best way to get to Mandi. You can also take a train to Kirathpur and then get a bus to the mandi. You can also get decent amounts of buses to mandi on the highway to manali. The permanent campus for 2nd year students has already moved. The entire college will be shifted in about eight months.

BIT Mesra is a fairly well-known university, especially among the academic intellectuals, with a rich history of many notable alumni. However, except for the people residing in the states of Jharkhand, Bihar, and some parts of West Bengal and Odisha, it is not very popular among the common people in the rest of the country.

The hostels and the mess food can be considered decent and the rooms are well-maintained. Life at the campus is okay, nothing to complain about. Some of the features which may be considered a pro or a con depending upon the person are as follows.

• Boys get single accommodation from the first year itself while the same is not true for girls; they get shared accommodation till they pass out. The girl’s hostels are also a lot stricter than the boy’s hostels with the students needed to check-in at the hostel before the sunsets.
• There are lots of clubs and societies to get involved with depending upon your level of interest; dancing, literature, debating, and music, etc. to name a few.
• The schedule is not very hectic. You will not be over-burdened with projects, assignments, and reports which are not required.
• Ranchi, though a good city, is not a metro city and you will not find clubs or discos to hang out with friends at the weekends. Instead, you will enjoy the soothing sunsets sitting in the campus gardens.

Finally, though placements and the fee are not part of the everyday life of a student, they both affect the mental life of a student in a big way; so worth mentioning. If you are from a CSE/IT/Mechanical/EEE/Production engineering branch, you will receive good placements with many top companies visiting the campus. Whereas branches such as Biotech, Chemical, Polymer engineering have very low packages at campus placements and many also remain unplaced at core companies. The fee is also higher than many state colleges and NITs as it is a private university.

If you can cope up with these things and do not have any other higher-ranked college, BIT Mesra will be a good option for you and it will offer you a good and balanced life.

IIIT Kota is a recent campus. The institute offers B.Tech only in two specializations: Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).

Education:

• The institute is similar to any other average institute. A few core teachers are decent who have been teaching for years. But most of them are young and inexperienced.
• Only 10% of the taught topics are applicable in real jobs and the rest 90% are outdated.
• The positive side of the curriculum is that the students are liberal to change their elective subjects by intimating the course coordinator.

Facilities:

• The fee for B.Tech is 9.24 Lakhs. The fee is in competition with any other private institute. It is beyond any government institute.

• Even the facilities are not parallel to the fee charged by the institute.
• The classrooms and labs are considerate.
• There is a lack of sports opportunities.
• The hostel facility especially for boys is pathetic. The internet is slow, mobile networks are poor, mess food is tasteless, and bathrooms are untidy. Some students prefer shifting to flats because of the same.
• There is no ragging and the seniors are helpful and approachable.

Placement & Internship:

• If you are aiming for the top companies in the market then the institute is not a perfect fit for you. The institute struggles to call companies to campus. So, there is no stability in terms of placement here.
• Even for the internships, only a few decent companies visit the campus. The highest stipend was offered at INR 1 Lakh.

Considering the above information, one has to decide for oneself if the college is perfect for him or not.

The campus life of NIT Calicut is quite good compared to other institutes, but cannot be considered as a campus with excellent facilities. The campus life mostly depends on how you want to spend your years and cope up with the pressure and life altogether. A generalized overview of NIT Calicut is described below in points.

• The campus of NIT Calicut is not too huge, with all major buildings nearby to each other. Only the Mega boy’s hostel and Ladies hostel is situated at a separate residential campus. It usually takes 10-15 minutes to commute inside the campus.
• The campus has enough greenery, but with a lot of rain. There is a problem with water and so, heat is an issue to be survived.
• There is no such happening place around the campus, except the bus stop and an area known as Kattangal, with a few restaurants and shops. Being about 40 minutes away from the city, students usually take a bus to the city or visit the restaurants nearby.
• After 9 PM, girls usually don’t prefer going out roaming around the campus. A strict curfew is maintained from 7 PM, in which 1st-year boys maintain the discipline. Senior boys have their own tricks to roam around anytime. The college is a little discriminative about these rules, but such situations are changing slowly.
• Classes run for variable durations and depend upon the department and year. Some have classes for less than 4 hours and some about 6-7 hours. 
• The hostels are NIT Calicut are quite old, with the mega hostels being comparatively newer. Even the quality of rooms and internet facility is better in Mega hostels. 
• The messes are of various types in the hostels. Seniors get to switch messes. The quality of food at mess depends upon the contractor. 
• Coming to sports facilities, there is an average football field, a rocky hockey field, a tennis court, a volleyball court, and 2 outdoor basketball courts. There is an auditorium with 2 table tennis boards and 3 badminton courts. The football team of the college has done well in recent years.
• The labs are quite well equipped, with good internet. The software systems lab has the best internet on the campus and is open to all students. All the hostels have sufficient internet facilities too. There is a quiet library, a study center, and a digital library that is free from chaos and peaceful enough to sit and study.

Among all, students on the campus learn to adjust to circumstances, make friends, explore the environment and make the best use of available resources in NIT Calicut. The campus life is all about fun and interests, and NIT Calicut is a place worth it.
