The best among these institutes is, undoubtedly, IIM Indore. During the first three years of IPM at IIM Indore, you will focus on various topics and learn a number of concepts. The institute has experienced and capable faculty. The main reason for IPM’s popularity is due to the tag IIM has given.
Following are some of the pros and cons of the IPM program at IIM Indore:
Pros
Cons
In addition to the previous cons, you will get a certificate from IGNOU instead of a proper degree. In the case of the other colleges, you will probably not face some of the cons.
In my opinion, the best course among these is IPM. Some might even think I am a little biased towards this course but in reality once you learn the advantages of this program you will change your mind.
The Programme consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years, with each year having 3 terms of 3 months. The subjects of the initial 3 years focus on the foundation and the last 2 years have core subjects that focus on Management.
Cons :
Still if you are not convinced that IPM is the best alone the courses you mentioned, the order for the other courses is
SSCBS> NMIMS> Christ
The only advantage the other courses have over IPM is that their model is tried and tested and open to lesser risks. Hence the scope is not that much limited.
Yes, there are a significant number of BBA or BMS graduates at IIM Ahmedabad. In fact, people from similar backgrounds can be found not only at IIM Ahmedabad but also at several other IIMs.
However, the truth is that Engineers make up the majority of the batch because they have an advantage in the Quant section of the CAT due to their background. There are people from all walks of life with degrees in the arts, business, and so on. Students from such backgrounds, including BBA, benefit from the diversity factor, which gives them an advantage in the selection process over Engineers if they have good academics and CAT scores. Therefore, you should begin working on improving your CAT scores.
