BA(Research) English from Shiv Nadar University

BBA and BMS are two different courses. When making a choice between NMIMS BBA and Shiv Nader BMS, give preference course over institute. Choose what interests you more.

On an overall scale, NMIMS BBA is a slightly better choice. Due to the locational advantage, you will get good exposure. You can do internships and projects while pursuing your BBA. NMIMS placements are good for BBA. The salary packages offered goes up to INR 12 LPA.

Shiv Nadar University

NMIMS and Shiv Nadar University are both excellent universities to pursue a bachelor’s degree. First of all, students are required to be clear that BBA is a completely different course than BMS. Bachelor of Business Studies is more focused on the management and working of corporates. Bachelor’s in Mass media, on the other hand, is related to journalism and other fields of mass media and social networking. These fields are nowhere related. Nevertheless, both universities are excellent, however, there are some differences.

Ranking:

  • NMIMS has been ranked as the 7th best university for MBA by Business Today. It has also been 24th ranked in the top 100 best Business Schools in India by NIRF in 2017.
  • Shiv Nadar University is the youngest university in the top 100 best universities in India by NIRF ranking. It ranked as the 52nd best university in India in 2019 by the NIRF ranking framework.

Admissions:

NMIMS

  • For admission to undergraduate courses, students are required to complete 10+2.
  • Students are also required to give the NPAT exam and admission will be done on the basis of merit in that test.
  • Other procedures include interviews and group discussion sessions.

Shiv Nadar University

  • For admission to the BMS course at Shiv Nadar, students are required to SNUSAT which is a centralized exam conducted by SNU, and also clear the Academic Proficiency Test.
  • After a personal interview and group discussion, students will be chosen on the basis of merit.

Placements:

NMIMS

  • The placement percentage of NMIMS has been very high as almost 90% of their students applying to the placement cell get placed in the top companies in Bangalore including PPOs in eminent brands like VMware, Exide Life Insurance, Tata Capital, and many more.
  • The highest package offered was 21.38 LPA with the average being 10.5 LPA.
  • Most of the students are placed in FMCG, CD, Pharma, and Retail industries.

Shiv Nadar University

  • Shiv Nadar saw an increase in placements to 93.1% in 2019 with over 250 companies participating in their campus recruitment program.
  • The highest salary package was 35.1 LPA with the average being 6.35 LPA.

Thus, it completely depends on the student about which university they want to pursue based on their interests and financial capabilities. Students are required to research more about the two courses and asses which is is of their interest. Rest assured, both the universities are excellent to pursue any bachelor’s course.
