Unlike government institutes like IITs and NITs, BIST Pilani does not offer reservations based on caste. Also, the JEE Main exam is not considered by BITS Pilani and it only allows admission based on its own entrance exam called BITSAT. The exam is 3 hours long and will test your proficiency in physics, chemistry, mathematics and English along with logical reasoning. 

Coming to your second concern, BITS Pilani does not offer any BTech courses. As you are interested in CSE, you can consider the BE course course with Computer Science specialisation.

The curriculum is regularly updated to meet the industry standards ensuring you will be well-prepared when you complete your degree.

For BE courses, BITS Pilani does not accept the JEE Main score. The university conducts its own entrance exam called BITSAT. You must register and clear the BITSAT exam to secure your seat in the BE program. 

If you still want to pursue BTech, you can consider BTech in Engineering Technology from BITS Pilani. It is offered in WILP mode for working professionals rather than a regular degree and will provide you with a broad foundation in engineering technology. To be eligible for this program, you need to have a diploma in engineering or a BSc in a relevant discipline with 2 years of working experience.

If your JEE Mains percentile in the January attempt is 72.85 percentile, then you cannot get admission to CS at LPU. Candidates need to gain a minimum 80 percentile to get admission based on JEE Mains.

Yes, you can get admission into LPU with your JEE Main score. For BTech courses LPU grants admission through entrance exams only. Before filling an application form you must know the Eligibility requirements for B.Tech. For this course, you need to complete 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 60% in Science stream from a recognized Board. 

LPU grants admission into B.Tech courses through JEE Main as well as LPUNEST score. If you have a very good score in JEE Main, you will directly get admission into LPU. LPU also conducts its own entrance exam by the name of LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test). Candidates who qualify LPUNEST are given preference. 

LPU conducts admission in 2 phases. For 1st phase, candidates are shortlisted based on LPUNEST and JEE Main (very good marks) scores. For the 2nd phase, candidates with scores from entrance exams other than LPUNEST (including JEE Main) are considered. 

Suppose you have scored 80 percentile in JEE Main and more than 75% aggregate in 10+2 in Maths, Physics & Chemistry, then you don't need to take LPUNEST. You will be directly shortlisted for Special Counseling and based on your rank, seat will be allotted to you. 

Through JEE Main, you may get scholarship benefits. But according to me, you should take LPUNEST as it offers scholarships and is very easy compared to JEE Main. It does not even have negative marking.

If you look at the previous year JEE Main cutoffs for SIT Pune, ranks between 13000 to 30000 are sufficient for the admission. 

81 percentile jee main translates to rank in between 230000 – 260000. 

Therefore on 81 percentile there are no chances of getting SIT Pune. For the admission you need to crack jee main with somewhere around 98-99 percentile.
