Should I join Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune for CS even if I get MIT Pune and VIT Pune?
SIT Pune will give you all the facilities along with the brand name of Symbiosis International University (SIU).
SIT has a lush green campus and all the facilities like sports facilities, gyms, canteens, CCD, libraries and a swimming pool.
The college has numerous clubs and committees. The tech club regularly organizes coding workshops, the Wrench Wielders Racing club manufactures and designs cars. There is also the Varsity Care club, a literary club, a book club, a drama club and an E-cell called EPIC.
The college frequently hosts Ted Talks and seminars. The tech fest, cultural fest, and sports fest are held on campus every year. The student crowd is very diverse, consisting of students from across the globe.
The faculty is very experienced. The college offers 6 month semester exchange programs to countries like Singapore, USA, Germany,Thailand, etc. The placements are decent for CS and IT. Companies like Dell, Microsoft and Amazon visit the campus for placements.
SIT Pune is a better choice than MIT Pune or VIT Pune, in my opinion. So you can definitely consider choosing CS at SIT Pune.

In my opinion, Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune is better than Manipal University Jaipur and its performance and ranking over the past few years are a testament to the same
- Placements: The institute has collaborations with many national and international MNCs so the placement scenario is great.
- Campus life : Students of SIT experience a rich educational experience through a wide range of extra-curricular programs, facilities, services, and activities. The students are exposed to a variety of social, cultural, and intellectual, opportunities and challenges.
- Faculties: The professors are a mixed breed comprising both strict and enthusiastic ones and those who are easygoing.
- Sports: SIT is the perfect place for sports lovers with amazing facilities like a gym, Indoor badminton courts, Swimming pools, Tennis courts, Squash courts, etc.
In all, Symbiosis Institute of Technology is a better choice than MIT.
Out of VIT Pune and Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune, which should I choose?
There are several parameters to compare the two colleges. Some of these are-
- Brand- Symbiosis is a brand in India. Any college under Symbiosis International University automatically gets the tag of a good college. VIT Pune is also a well known brand which was established much before SIT. VIT Pune was established in 1983 while SIT came into existence in 2008.
- Placements- VIT Pune has a better placement scenario. As far as SIT is concerned, CS/IT and ENTC have an average placement record. On the other hand, Mechanical and Civil have a low placement rate. But the fact is that Mechanical is facing placement shortage at present.
- Crowd- The SIT campus has a diverse crowd. It caters to students from all over India, and NRIs. VIT is mainly preferred by students of Maharashtra and its neighboring states.
- Infrastructure- Both the colleges have good classrooms and laboratories.
- Faculty- I don’t know much about VIT, but the faculty of SIT is highly qualified.

- The campus is lovely, and in terms of life experience.
- There's no better college to associate with such a diverse group of people, including international exchange students as well.
- But, if you're concerned about your academics, then it’s a bitter truth for you. Most of the colleges in India only provide you with a syllabus and the rest is all self-study. Symbiosis is no exception.
- Though, if it's any consolation, the CSE placement scene is pretty decent in Symbiosis. Getting an internship is considerably easy here.

Which engineering college is better for computer science, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, NMIMS, Mumbai or a course in electronics from DJ Sanghvi?
For Computer Science, NMIMS Mumbai is a better option in terms of placements, location, and exposure. The institute follows an industry-relevant and updated curriculum. The CSE labs are well-equipped with the latest technologies. There are many workshops, student bodies, and professional chapters that you can take part in.
NMIMS placements are good for CSE. Around 100% of students from the branch get placed. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 6-7 LPA.
Can i get admission into SIT Pune with 81 percentile in jee mains ?
If you look at the previous year JEE Main cutoffs for SIT Pune, ranks between 13000 to 30000 are sufficient for the admission.
81 percentile jee main translates to rank in between 230000 – 260000.
Therefore on 81 percentile there are no chances of getting SIT Pune. For the admission you need to crack jee main with somewhere around 98-99 percentile.
