My sister is a second-year student at NIT Trichy and she already has many memorable experiences and is leading a fun-filled life. 

• The crowd here is no joke as mostly the students are ex-IIT aspirants who couldn’t make it to the top IITs and chose the top NIT instead.
• The competition here is intense and a big driving factor in motivating you to study hard.
• The institute has many places to explore in and around the campus.
• The campus is huge and has state-of-the-art facilities.
• The majority of professors are excellent in their respective fields and quite approachable.
• The institute gives equal importance to research and the labs are well-equipped with instruments that help in qualitative research.
• A number of student-run clubs and committees help you focus on your extracurricular passions.
• The institute organizes yearly fetes, symposiums, cultural seminars, sports fests, and inter-department fests to ensure a vibrant campus life.
• The hostel facilities are decent but the food may not be of your rates. However, there are a large number of eateries serving food at subsidized rates.

Overall, NIT Trichy is a great institute both in terms of education as well as the quality of campus life it offers. The only drawback is its remote location and the extremely hot climate.

Life of a UG student at PGIMS Rohtak is extremely fun and a complete roller coaster experience. Here are some highlights of the amazing campus life based on the experience shared by a friend 

• The lecture halls are spacious and well-equipped lectures fully air-conditioned, thereby enhancing the learning experience. 
• Frequent events like fests and parties are organized like XTACIA, ARMSCON, etc.... to give students a break from their hectic schedules.
• Yearly sports meet is organized either separately or as a part of the fest. Many festivals like Holi and Diwali are also celebrated. A Diwali mela is held.
• The UG students are given enough time to pursue their co-curriculars.
• Boys have no hostel timings for entry or exit and are free to enter and exit at their own free will.
• The institute has a great sex ratio.
• We have well-equipped labs with modern and working instruments.
• The coaching institutes for PG have a satellite center nearby.
• The college enjoys a good location just near the marketplace.
• We have NGOs and non- NGOs collaborating with the college.

So, do everything you want here and live your initial years to the fullest at PGIMS Rohtak!

NIT Durgapur is older than 60 years and most of its infrastructure is in ruins. The condition of hostels and laboratories is pathetic but the overall situation is in control and no major obstacle is experienced in academics. NIT Durgapur has a relatively smaller campus than other colleges. So it's better organized too. Currently, new hostels are being constructed and academic buildings are being renovated. The campus still is lacking in terms of high-tech amenities. For example most colleges have an e-library, and NIT Durgapur has an old and small library. There are two playgrounds that are hardly functional.

NIT Durgapur has a visually pleasing campus surrounded by lush greenery. The campus has its pros and cons. In the end, the size of the campus does not determine your career but your passion does!

Honestly, the campus life in NIT Agartala is very disappointing especially if you are coming from a good city. It does not have the infrastructure of big private colleges like Amity or LPU. However, I believe college life is more about the people you are surrounded with and not the infrastructure. 

It will be a new experience staying in the Northeast and exploring new cultures and traditions. You will be interacting with the locals and also sharing hostels as well as classes with them.

A few students might face discrimination on the basis of region. The campus has a lot to offer in terms of sports. The faculty are very rigid and unapproachable. The gender ratio is also not very good.

Overall, the campus life at NIT Agartala is a blend of good and bad experiences depending on your company.

Unlike everyone else, I think that life after joining IIT Delhi becomes more challenging than it was while preparing for JEE. Some reasons for the same are

• Your peers are mostly JEE toppers and you will find an unexplainable competitive tension among your batchmates as everyone is struggling to remain at the top. The relative grading system makes it difficult to score more than 7 CGPA while the cutoff for most companies is 8-9. This leads to immense pressure and competition sometimes with a negative impact.
• The hectic class schedule makes it impossible to spare time for extra activities like extracurricular activities, assignments, lab reports, and internship preparations.
• The overall routine is quite imbalanced considering the academic pressure at one end and huge parties and entertainment during your leisure time. There is no time to relax and complete your sleep.
• The students who target non-core jobs, focus less on academics and more on becoming dominant and attaining power. This creates a toxic political environment within the campus.
• The workload for the CS branch is exceptionally high with no time left for extracurricular activities. The huge number of assignments keeps the students holed in the library for hours and they become frustrated.

Life at IIT Delhi is fast-paced, packed with challenges, and very lively so know what you have signed up for before joining!

The Boys to girls ratio at IIT Kharagpur is 12:1 and yet there are no discriminations. In fact, life for both genders here is very peaceful. You feel a sense of freedom at IIT Kharagpur. During the first year, there is a deadline of 10 pm but one can always go out for a genuine reason. After a few months, you can stroll through the campus even around 4 in the morning and there will be no restrictions. 

When it comes to security, IIT Kharagpur has the best of it. You can find guards patrolling the campus around the clock. There is no specific dress code and you can wear anything you want provided that you attend the class in full pants only. The seniors are friendly and there is no ragging here. 

There are a number of clubs and societies that promote extracurricular activities such as sports.

January witnessed the Spring Fest, a cultural Fest, and Kshitij, a technological-Management Fest. This is a very lively period and you can see the streets of the campus full of people, and can enjoy great performances in “Star-Nights”.

IIT KGP has 2 hostels for UG Female students

• Sarojini Naidu Hall of Residence 
• Mother Teresa Hall of Residence 

Both these hostels have a number of facilities like a Gym, Stores, Nescafe, and Night-Canteens. Hostel life is great as your wingmates become your family away from home and you end up making friends for life. 

So, if you get into IIT Kharagpur, be prepared for a major change in your life.

NIT Trichy campus spreads across a massive 885 acres making it one of the biggest engineering college campuses in India. The campus life here is very active and dynamic. The huge campus has excellent facilities to ensure a smooth campus life for its students.

• There are many hostels and new hostels are built to accommodate the increasing batch size. The hostels are well-facilitated with all basic commodities. 
• The campus has many miscellaneous facilities including an SBI, Post Office, Cafe Coffee Day, Juice Centre, Laundry, Hospital, etc.
• The institute offers a rich college life as it excels in all aspects be it the quality of the peers, brand value, pedagogy, infrastructure, and other facilities.
• The institute organized a technical festival called Pragyan which is one of the most anticipated events of the year.
• The sports facilities are great and students are encouraged to go to the gym and stay fit.

Overall, NIT Trichy will give you a great college life experience! 

I don’t really understand why you want to change campuses when the Mumbai campus is the most coveted one. I have a friend who despite being an IBS Hyderabad pass-out, considers the Mumbai campus way superior after spending months on a summer internship there.

He considers the IBS Hyderabad to be overestimated and apart from infrastructure, IBS Powai/Hiranandani is much better in all aspects. Moreover, the Mumbai campus enjoys the locational advantage of being closest to the city of dreams. The campus is in the vicinity of IIT Mumbai so you get to interact with many geniuses also. 

On the other hand, IBS Shankarpally, despite having top-notch infrastructure, lacks connectivity. You are disconnected from other students and the entire world if you choose this college.
