Currently, IIIT Una facilitates education through two temporary campuses of Dev Bhumy Group of Institutes, Himachal Pradesh and the NIT campus at Hamirpur, the main campus is still under construction and the placement is average. 

The first batch of IIIT Una passed in 2018, with an average salary of INR 3-4 LPA and highest salary of INR 10-12 LPA. • As IIIT Una is working under the aegis of NIT Hamirpur, the institute receives the same companies for placement as does NIT Hamirpur. This year, names like Infosys, Reliance and IBM graced the campus and the highest package offered was INR 62 LPA.
• For COE, Thapar University students receive an average salary of INR 6-7 LPA.

It is difficult to assume anything in the case of IIIT Una, it has improved from the 2018 statistics, but it cannot be said how successful it'll be in four years' time. Whereas Thapar University is developing well as far as placements are concerned, in 2020 the highest package offered to Thapar University students was INR 39 LPA and 990+ companies made offers to them.

• Faculty- IIIT UNA has 17 members for the CSE department, and all of them are guest faculty members. UIET also has 10-15 teachers who are very motivating.
• Study Environment- You'd feel a healthy level of competition in the CSE department because there'd be all-rounders and achievers in the class to motivate you to develop.

Apart from this, the facilities at UIET Chandigarh are quite good if you're interested in sports, then you can join a sports club at the Punjab University and get professional guidance through a coach. My friends and I decided to study automobiles, but due to the restricted number of institutions that offered the course, we decided to pursue mechanical engineering and then concentrate on automobile engineering for our master's degree. Hence, we studied Mechanical Engineering at Dayananda Sagar (DSCE), and then Automobile Engineering at the same university. So I think I am therefore competent to reply.

• I would recommend you take the DSCE diploma and proceed to a Master's degree overseas.

The college is great simply to provide you with a degree, but it's your duty to earn it. In the last two years, very few reputed companies visited the college. Only your hard work will matter. The curriculum has been outdated until last year, but now they have updated it.

The placement statistics of 2019 show the civil engineering department in IIT Bhubaneswar had a placement rate of 89%. The average package offered was 7.6 LPA. While the overall placement rate in IIT Bhubaneswar was 90% with an average package of 11.4 LPA and the highest package offered was of 39 LPA. The M.Tech batches had a 68% placement rate. The third-year students also received cushy internship offers from globally renewed organizations.
