If you are looking for a college to pursue your higher education, there are a few factors that you should consider before making a decision. One of the most important factors is the type of institute you want to attend, whether it is a government or a private institute. You should consider attending Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research at Delhi for ECE as it may have a significant difference in fees compared to Bharathi Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering at Delhi for ECE.
Private institutes like BVP and others may have strict rules for attendance, which can limit the time you have for building your skills and resume. Both AIACTR and BVP may have similar placement opportunities, so focus on other factors when making a decision. Travel distance to the college is another important factor to consider, as it can become a major factor once you start attending college. You need to balance your time between college studies, personal hobbies, and extra skills for your resume, so it's important to have a manageable travel distance to college.

Despite being a new IIT, IIT Bhubaneswar is considered among the top engineering colleges in India. NIRF has ranked the institute 17th in the engineering category. IIT Bhubaneswar offers a decent ECE program with good placement. ECE is a new branch in IIT Bhubaneswar. Before 2016, electrical engineering was a combination of EEE and ECE. The first batch of the branch went through placement in 2020.
The School of Electrical Sciences has a dynamic group of highly qualified faculty members who are well experienced in their field. The school has 33 full-fledged well-equipped laboratories to design and carry out various projects.
In 2020, 97% of the students from ECE got placements in many top MNCs. The average CTC offered was INR 15.8 LPA, while the highest CTC offered was INR 43.3 LPA. Top recruiters at the institute included Honeywell, TCS, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, and many more.
IIT Bhubaneswar campus is spread over 936 acres under the foothills of Brunei hills, 30kms away from the city. The campus provides the best environment for studies and cultural activities. IIT Bhubaneswar has schools rather than departments and the campus is divided into a residential area and the academic area. The academic area has an independent building devoted to each school. There is also a Lab Complex for the basic lab facilities and common course classes.
Both the universities mentioned here are private universities and have some excellent placement as well as academic records. Full time 4 year ECE UG degree is being provided by both of the colleges. Although as far as ECE is concerned RVCE is having an upper edge over the PES University as it has better faculty for the specified department.
Admissions: PES University offers a B.Tech and RV offers a BE course in ECE. Both the Colleges consider the marks of KCET or CET and the 12th marks by creating the merit list. The minimum requirement is 60% in class 12th with a good Karnataka CET score to get admission to both of these colleges.
Cut off the rank for ECE at these institutes are as follows.
PES University - 1000 in KCET
RVCE- 271 KCET
The first-year course fee for BTech ECE at PES University is 3.3 Lakhs, while the BE CSE at RVCE costs around 10 Lakhs per annum.
Placements: Both of these colleges have excellent placement records, but one thing which needs to be noted is that there are few core companies visiting the PES University, while RVCE is a bit better in terms of placement for the specific department ECE department due to the core companies visiting the campus every year.
RV College of Engineering-
According to the 2020 placement statistics the highest CTC was INR 52 LPA.
While the average package was 8.63 LPA.
Almost 249 Companies visited the campus with Deloitte, Adani Group, Kirloskar Oil Engines, Accenture, and Adobe Systems India Pvt Ltd, included.
PES University-
There were almost 56 participants in the campus placement with top recruiting companies like Deloitte, Amazon, JP Morgan, LinkedIn, Flipkart, Tech Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, Cleartrip, Intel, etc.
The highest package offered was of 48 LPA while the average package offered was of 6.8 LPA.
RVCE would be a bit better than PES University as far as the above statistics are noted. If one does not have any financial constraints as RV college of engineering is quite expensive, then it might be the best option for pursuing ECE.
Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology as well as Bharati Vidhyapeeth University College of Engineering Pune, are both excellent institutes to pursue Engineering courses. NIET is a public university whereas BVPCOEP is a private university in Pune. Both of them differ in significant parameters.

Thus, it completely depends on the student to decide which city and ranking they fit into. JEE rankings, financial stability, and hostel conditions are other important factors to look at before choosing one of the universities.
Chennai institute of technology is a highly reputed university and is appreciated for its impressive quality and world class infrastructure. ECE branch is itself a well renowned and market demanding branch which promises to offer great career opportunities.
At Chennai institute of technology, ECE is offered here from bachelors to doctorate level.
One of my batchmates suggests, studying ECE at Chennai institute of technology will help you get a good command over subjective knowledge and application status. The most attractive feature being the Center Of Excellence (COE) laboratories following with benefits like training in IoT (Internet of Thing), communication circuit to work on innovative learning programs and practical applications.

Since having collaborated with Anna university, here you will get a similar syllabus, course curriculum and special emphasis in mathematics and science just like Anna university. Good faculties, infrastructure, High tech laboratories, basic amenities, well strategies curriculum and various academic activities are present at Chennai Institute of Technology.
ECE course covers the study of electrical devices and circuits, digital principle, analogue and digital modulation techniques, satellite and optical communication, programming skills and computer application in signal processing etc. Hence, after completing your graduation in ECE you will have opportunities to work in both government and private industries, defense space, IT industries and research as well.
For ECE, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is a better option. The department has a good infrastructure. After the conversion to IIT, the labs are housed in the New Academic Complex. It is well-equipped with cutting-edge technology and facilities. Core Electronics companies such as Texas Instruments, HCL, etc. visit the IIT Dhanbad placements. Non-core placements are also good. Amazon, Microsoft IDC, Adobe Systems, Goldman Sachs, etc. recruit ECE students too. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 12 - 15 LPA.
