Since my cousin studied in Pune and Mumbai both can answer this question better. Here is what she has to say about it. In terms of Management Studies, Mumbai can be considered as a better option than Pune. It is because Mumbai is the corporate and financial capital of India.

Now, when comparing Athena School of Management and ITM Business School, the events can be different,

• Location: Athena is located in Powai, which is mainly a corporate hub in Mumbai, while ITM is located in Kharghar which is not basically Mumbai.
• Faculty: The faculty of Athena are known to be the Top Corporate executives. ITM, on the other hand, has a faculty of academicians and several retired corporate professionals.
• Directors: The director of Athena is a former SP Jain and Wharton alumnus. Meanwhile, the dean of ITM is from Lucknow University.
• Internships: Athena provides multiple internships to students, i.e., one in each semester. In contrast, ITM only offers one.
• International Exposure: While Athena provides Two International immersions, in Singapore and Germany, and an Optional International Internship; ITM only offers One International Immersion typically for just certain specializations (International business only).
• Corporate Contact: The arriving guest faculty of Athena every week usually is a CEO or CXO. students widely take part in several ASSOCHAM or IBA or IMC Corporate Conferences, Entrepreneurship, and Startup Summits. I can give you some insight into PIBM Pune since I have some close friends attending the institute.

To begin with, talking about Indian Academy of Empowerment and Education (IAEER), is an institute established by a team of excellent business leaders.

Academics:

• PIBM is approved by the AICTE and affiliated with SSPU (Pune University) as one of the top Management Institutes in India.
• PIBM solely works on providing business education so that the graduates have adequate skills and are well educated. This implementation is done further by providing training in a specific domain, sharpening IT skills as per the requirements of the industry, better your communication, and enhancing your personality.
• There is a specific training model called Sector Company Product or Services or SCPC where students are trained via management concepts that are implemented in different companies, sectors with respect to their services/products.

Placements:

So, take all these factors into consideration and choose what’s best for you.

One of my friends is currently pursuing B.Tech at CIC DU and he applied for MSIT IPU as well. Firstly CIC is not a college and more of an Innovation Centre or Entrepreneurship Cell whereas MSIT is a college that uses the same mechanism procedure. 

A brief overview of both institutions are tabulated below:

The difference lies in the approach of how they educate and guide students. 

• CIC DU being an innovation hub is focused on different aspects of research, startups, and the linkage to the real-life aspects of the problem and their suitable solution. 
• It mainly focuses on the practical aspect and encourages knowledge to be used in daily tasks. 
• They have world-class labs which are better than almost any college. It has a well-developed Robotics lab with 3D printing which stands out. 
• There is continuous funding from Delhi University for all the research work, startups, projects, and everything. 
• During summers compulsory internships are said to be done so as to give better exposure to the students for the lying problems. 

When compared to other colleges, the syllabus is a lot more than normal colleges. Students have the task of at least 6 projects per semester with learning more than 5 languages and different simulations at a time like Scilab, Matlab, C++, etc. 

CIC might not have a placement cell that backs you up with projects and careers but if you work hard independently there, you can definitely secure a job.
