Both IIT Kanpur Electrical and BITS Pilani CS are excellent choices yet, if I had to choose one, I would have opted for BITS Pilani CS. Here’s why,

• It’s not a brainer that a CS branch will fetch you more opportunities in terms of packages and exposure. It has become one of the most demanded branches and has numerous opportunities for everyone. The workload is also less sparing you more time to explore your area of interest.
• BITS has been given the IoE status making its tag superior in terms of a brand name to IIT Kanpur.
• There are no compulsory attendance rules making it easy for students to leave classes that they find irrelevant and do something productive during that time.
• The accommodation facilities at BITS Pilani are better than IIT Kanpur and students get to have their own room starting from the second year itself. You don’t have to wait for the final year like IITs to get a single room.
• IIT Kanpur's fees are around 8-9 Lakhs whereas that of BITS Pilani are around 19-20 Lakhs. This might be a problem for the financially weak strata. However, BITS Pilani offers many scholarships and you also get a high-paying job much more easily.

BITS Pilani CS is better than IIT Mumbai Chemical Engineering in terms of placements. Top MNCs such as Microsoft,  Goldman Sachs, etc. visit the campus placements. The recent highlights of BITS Pilani placements show the average package of CSE to be around INR 17-20 LPA. The highest CTC for CSE is around INR 44 LPA. 

BITS Pilani offers an enviable campus experience with a lot of academic freedom. 

In my opinion, a B Pharmacy at BITS Pilani is better than a BTech in mining at NIT Raipur. There are many opportunities one can avail of by doing this course. Some of them have been listed below 

• You can do an M Pharmacy from a prestigious US University or from NIPER Mohali. You might secure an excellent job abroad. 
• As far as core placements are concerned, there are far more pharmaceutical companies than mining companies. Moreover, BITS offers elective courses in 2nd year and minor courses so you can opt for CS minor courses and even get placed in a CS company.
• Another future prospect of doing B Pharmacy is that you can join any pharmaceutical company and work hard to secure a better position.
• You can also pursue a Ph.D. degree and pursue a career in research.

In all, choosing a B Pharmacy at BITS Pilani will offer better opportunities than a BTech in mining at NIT Raipur.

BITS Pilani campus is way better than Goa or Hyderabad campus unless you have a specific locational preference. So that leaves you with 2 options; BITS Pilani and IIT Indore.

• BITS Pilani is one of the oldest technical institutions and is considered a prestigious college often compared to the top IITs. IIT Indore is a second-generation IIT that has made its name because of its exponential growth. 
• One of the major factors to consider while deciding between IIT Indore and BITS Pilani is the fees. IIT Indore fees are ?2.34 Lakhs for the first year while the entire BITS Pilani fee just for the first campus is INR 2,31,500. So unless you have any financial constraints, BITS Pilani CSE would be a better option. 
• The best part is that BITS Pilani has no reservation policy which makes for an excellent peer culture over there. 
• BITS Pilani has an elaborate alumni pool and is thus better than IIT Indore. 
• The placement scenario of both the colleges is similar so that should be your last concern.

So unless you have any financial issues, BITS Pilani is the best choice unless you are adamant about the IIT tag.

 If you're considering Jadavpur University (JU) or BITS Pilani for computer science engineering (CSE), you're in luck, as both are top-notch institutes in India that are giving even the best IITs a run for their money (excluding the lower IITs).

Here are some affirmative statements to consider:

• Choosing between JU and BITS Pilani can be a tough decision, as both are highly respected institutes with strong CSE programs.
• When making your decision, consider factors such as location, campus culture, and program structure, in addition to academic quality.
• JU's proximity to your home and easy access to transportation played a big role in your decision, but keep in mind that location may not be as important to other students.
• While many students strive to get into the top IITs, it's important to remember that there are other great options out there, such as JU and BITS Pilani.
• These institutes offer a more well-rounded college experience, with opportunities to participate in sports, and social activities, and spend time with family, while still receiving a high-quality education.
• Keep in mind that getting into JU or BITS Pilani is still highly competitive and requires strong academic performance and a good rank in entrance exams like JEE Advanced. However, it's also important to consider your interests and goals when choosing a college and program. 
• Don't just go for the brand name or prestige if it means sacrificing your passion or future career prospects.
• Both JU and BITS Pilani offer excellent CSE programs that can provide a solid foundation for a career in technology, regardless of whether or not you attend an IIT.

Ultimately, the decision of which college to attend is a personal one that should be based on a variety of factors. Do your research, talk to current students and alumni, and make a decision that aligns with your goals and values.

Both IIIT Hyderabad and BITS Pilani Hyderabad have great Techfests. I would like to present the key highlights of Felicity 2023, IIIT Hyderabad’s annual Techfest-

Felicity 2023 ran for 3 days, from 16th to 18th March. Some events held during these fun-packed three days were- Photo Contest, The Masterclass CP Workshop on Binary Search, What the Funny, HoverRobotix Workshop, RoboRunner, TimeWarp, Memory Makers, Memory Makers: Speedathon, FIFA Tournament, Pixel Art, The Masterclass CP Workshop on Dynamic Programming, Face-ify, Roadblock, Vimgolf,  Exoplanet Hunt, Graphiti, etc.

During the fest, students enjoyed a standup comedy session by Jaspreet Singh and an electrifying performance by The Radical Array Project (T.R.A.P.).

Felicity 2023 at IIIT Hyderabad was truly amazing and my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed those three days.

In my opinion, M.Tech in CSE from IIIT Hyderabad is way better than the M.E. Software System from BITS Pilani. Honestly, both the colleges are good so my comparison is only on the basis of the courses. Consider the following points of comparison 

• ME in the Software System curriculum mostly comprises software engineering or IT subjects and has little connection with the actual CSE curriculum. Whereas, if you take CSE, you can opt for the subjects of your choice from the second year and can take subjects directly related to CSE. 
• BITS Pilani has a better brand value and enjoys more global recognition than IIIT Hyderabad thereby making it easy to pursue Ph.D. from a foreign university.
• M.E. in Software Systems limits the scope of a Ph.D. with a good research area in CSE.

In the end, I will say both IIIT Hyderabad and BITS are excellent institutes for CSE education and offer equally good placements. So priority should be given to the course and not the college!
