Yes, the IPM program of IIM Jammu and Bodh Gaya is definitely worth it. The points below will further justify its worth
So joining the IPM program at IIM Bodh Gaya is worth it and will reap you benefits after some years.
IIM Ahmedabad or any other IIM does not consider the type of college the candidate belonged to as eligibility criteria. So rest your worries and apply for MBA in your dream college even if your undergrad BBA college was a less reputed one. Regarding your undergraduate college, the only criteria are the minimum marks for appearing for the CAT exam i.e. 50%. All you need to do is get an excellent CAT score.
To get admission to any IIM, you need to focus on things like CAT score, 10th, 12th, Bachelor grade. The school and colleges from where you acquired your education do not matter at all. What matters is that your academic profile should reflect your excellent scores and involvement in extracurricular activities
So, appear for CAT, aim a 98.5+ percentile, and get admission to IIM Ahmedabad. What’s stopping you?
IIM Indore is one of the top management schools among the group of 20 Indian Institutes of Management which is located in the city of Indore.
The IPM program is a unique program offered here. Some major benefits one can avail of studying at IIM Indore are
Curriculum
The intensive and rigor-filled curriculum offers a deeper understanding of business concepts than the regular 2-year MBA. It aims at instilling concepts that constitute the bases of Management. These include Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Humanities & Social Sciences. These programs help in acquiring strong analytical skills and gaining specialized business knowledge.
Network
The elaborate 5 years at IIM will give you ample time to make lifelong friends. These friends will serve as a powerful network in the future and help you in your career.
Ambiance
The general ambiance with top-notch infrastructure and facilities, the best faculty, and some most intelligent peers adds to the unique experience of studying at IIM Indore.
Overall Development
The IPM course does not just focus on Management but also business etiquette, soft skills, foreign language training, social internships, and international exchange programs.
You can avail world-class facilities by studying at IIM Indore.
The first three years of the IPM course at IIM Indore is a combination of Humanities, Economics, and Mathematics. You also get to learn a bit about Information Technology. The 3 years revolve around three major elements.
There is a Rural Management Program to understand the bottom of the pyramid. You will also have a Himalaya-bound trip. A social internship and foreign exchange program are also conducted. These are also followed by many group interactions. There are a lot more things that take place in the first three years.
Preparing from RS Agarwal will not be of much use. Because the questions in IPM or BMS exams are of a slightly higher level and involve more than just conceptual usage, but also a little bit of trickery. These are usually practical questions rather than theoretical ones.
These types of questions are not found in the books of RS Agarwal or RD Sharma. Rather, they can be found in books designed specifically for IPM or CAT preparation. You do not need to go for RS Aggarwal or RD Sharma, but rather for books that are specifically designed for the IPM or CAT entrance exams.
In today’s age and time, the worth and reputation of a college are determined by its popularity in the digital world. People tend to conduct an online search before choosing their college. Now there are many private institutes that provide inflated or misleading data mainly for advertisement purposes. Such institutes are considered high in ranking due to fake figures. The same is the case with IMS. To look good on the internet many private institutes pay a lot of money to magazines or websites and even go to the extent of writing fake reviews
I am not saying my claim is true for all the private institutes. There are also many who have genuine reviews and good reputations because of the quality of education, management, and infrastructure. Mainly the Government institutes provide the most honest reviews as there is no money involved.
My brother is an IMS Noida pass out and from his experience, I came to know the truth that IMS is just an ordinary college which whose last concern is maintaining the quality of education. It's more like a money-making machine. The following points further support my claim
What I mean is that rankings and reviews should be the only determining factor while choosing an institute. The best way is to contact alumni and clear your doubts.
NMIMS BBA is better. The curriculum and the faculty base are top-notch. Infrastructure is way better than IP University. You will get good exposure and opportunities to form a great resume. Other than placements, NMIMS also offers support and resources to entrepreneurs. BBA has a placement rate of around 100%. The average CTC for the branch is INR 5-6 LPA. TCS, Genpact, Tresvista are the top recruiters for BBA.
I will seriously not recommend you to go for TIME. The first choice is PRATHAM if not then IMS.
The IIM paper is always tough and covers maximum mathematical questions. They are both difficult as well as time consuming.
Questions are never repeated in this paper. But if the study material and faculty is the same, what is actually different? The approach towards the exam and your attitude towards it.
Having a healthy approach is the key to crack this paper. You should not aim to excel, rather try to attain scores better than others.
As a former student at LPU, I would suggest you choose LPU for a BBA. LPU has a high ranking, and it is a good private university in India. It is ranked 32nd among Management colleges in India by NIRF 2023.
Additionally, there are several options to pursue specialised BBA programs with industry collaborations and international credit transfer at LPU.
The best features of campus life at LPU are:
Thus, I would suggest you choose Lovely Professional University for a BBA.
As per my sister’s experience at the college, I would say Alliance University is the best university in India for BBA. You will learn a lot in the span of three years and will not have any dearth of knowledge. The course will prepare you for a future in business management and it is recommended that you pay attention to the practical details of it. The faculty is quite well educated and supportive.
The only drawback is the location of the campus which is in Anekal – a village area. However, from what my sister has noticed, the place is developing quite a lot. The environment around it is good and it would make up for this disadvantage.
Fee-wise, you will probably have to budget for around INR 2 lakhs for the first year. Since it is a private college, high fees are expected. The course will help you gain analytical skills, help you with decision making, technical, interpersonal as well as technological skills.
The course is so well structured that you might not end up needing an MBA degree unless you are looking for that additional certificate. Although there are better universities like Christ, Acharya, MS Ramaiah Institute of Management but Alliance University is not a bad option. While Christ University is a well-known college, a few of my friends who went there completely changed their personalities and developed an ego and attitude.
If you are considering taking admission at Alliance University, I would say go for it.
