What salary package can an average student expect in biotech at MNNIT Allahabad?
One of my friends studied there. According to him, there is hardly any scope of Biotech in India. The engineering curriculum is ancient in India. Hence, there are no decent colleges that produce skilled Biotech professionals. Even if a few are, India lacks Biotech infrastructure.
The branch either should be removed from the curriculum or should be developed as per global standards. Most Indian B.Tech Biotech degree holders in India prepare for IT interviews or Government exams like Banking and Railways.
The disappointing part is that the Government sector has few job openings which can barely employ all the B.Sc/ M.Sc/ B.Tech/ M.Tech Biotech degree holders.
In most Tier-3 colleges like NIT Bhopal, NIT Allahabad, MNIT Jaipur, and others, the students join the service-based companies as clerks with the package around INR 3-4 LPA.
These placement figures do not guarantee core Biotech companies or jobs. In the end, if you want to dive into core Biotech, it is better to fly off outside India.
What should I join? Electronics and Instrumentation at BITS Pilani or Electronics and Communication at MNNIT Allahabad?
Electronics and Instrumentation at BITS Pilani and Electronics and Communication at MNNIT Allahabad both are good choices. Also, BITS Pilani and MNNIT are reputed institutes. So, you should choose either of these two options based on your interest.
I have few friends at BITS, s I can give you some idea about their ENI branch.
- ENI course offered by BITS Pilani is great in terms of academics and pay package. ENI is derived from EEE courses with only 3 - 4 courses being different from EEE.
- BITS also offers extensive lab facilities for their EEE branch due to CEERI.
- According to the recent placement highlights, the average and highest CTC offered at BITS is 15.96 LPA and 9.7 LPA. At MNNIT the average and highest CTC are 10 LPA and 49 LPA respectively.

Which college should I join given that my interest lies in robotics, IIIT Allahabad (IT) or MNNIT Allahabad CSE?
There are different departments for Robotics such as CSE/IT, ECE, and Mechanical. It is up to you in which branch you are willing to go to. If you like advanced robotics mechanism learning, its construction, etc, you have to decide first then only you can choose your desired branch.

Among the mentioned institutes, DTU will definitely provide you better placement for CS. However, placements completely depend on your talent and caliber and the college is just a medium to meet the recruiters. But, DTU has an advantage in terms of placements because of its location which makes it accessible for a lot of companies to visit the college for interviews. However, that does not necessarily guarantee placements. In the past, students had bagged 1 Cr salary packages, there were also students who got placed with only 3 LPA.

Which is better NIT Kurukshetra CS or MNNIT Allahabad IT?
A few of my friends graduated from NIT Kurukshetra and MNNIT Allahabad. According to them, MNNIT is a better institution. Here’s presenting some facts as to why they prefer MNNIT over NIT KKR.
- In NIT Kurukshetra the cut-off can go as high as 5000, and in MNNIT the cut-off goes around 3000. The lower the cutoff means better college.
- CSE equals IT at MNNIT. The courses are 80% similar, same depth, same professors, and the same placements.
- MNNIT is the 4th best NIT, while NIT Kurukshetra is the 9th best NIT.
- Placements at NIT Kurukshetra are good but not as good when compared to MNNIT.

It is suggested you go for IT at MNNIT but if you live near Kurukshetra you can go for NIT KKR. Check all the parameters before you finalize your option.
How do I change my course after first year in MNNIT Allahabad?
At MNNIT Allahabad, changing of course after the first year will only depend upon the CPI of your first year. A form is available on the college’s website regarding the change of course. You can apply only after your first year. You can fill the application form as per your choice.
The CPI score is associated with each branch. If your score is good in 1st year then you will get the preferred choice. You should score at least 7.5 CPI in the first year. You should not be having backlogs in the first year. But this whole process takes time.
If you have the required CPI you will get your preferred branch according to the availability of seats.
Which is better, CSE at IET Lucknow or ECE at MNNIT Allahabad
IET is ranked #1 among all the ATKU 600+ engineering colleges, whereasMNNIT Allahabad was ranked #48th by NIRF for B.Tech courses. The placement rate of CSE branch is higher as compared to other subjects in IET. Generally the recruiting companies for CSE and ECE branches are almost similar. The only difference lies in the institution, teaching staff and the candidate’s performance. Both the institutions have qualified faculties. Both of them are approved by AICTE.
Intake process
IET Lucknow:
- The candidate must have completed 10+2 having Physics and Mathematics (compulsory subjects) with Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks.
- He/she must have completed an entrance exam i.e., UPSEE
- The total intake of the program is 60 seats.
- The fee for 1st year is Rs 89,775.
- The cut off for the home state candidates is 357-495 and for other state candidates is 193-342.
MNNIT Allahabad:
- Candidate must have completed 10+2 in Science stream with a minimum 75% marks.
- Candidate must have passed the entrance exam, i.e., JEE Main.
- The fees for the ECE course is Rs 84,666.
- The cut off for the home state candidates is 3600-7128 and for candidates from other states, it ranged from4615-6752.

- In IET Lucknow:

- The highest salary offered to the students was INR 37 LPA.
- In MNNIT Allahabad:
- 90.63% is the ECE placement rate of MNNIT Allahabad.

- The highest salary offered to the students was INR 25.33 LPA and the average salary offered was INR 10.95 LPA.
Some of the on-campus facilities of IET Lucknow are library, gym, hostel and bank. Some of the on-campus facilities in MNNIT Allahabad are a stationery shop, generator, student club, hostel (geyser, air cooler, refrigerator, water cooler, washing machine), PCO, 24/7 canteen, etc. Getting into IET Lucknow is difficult, as their cut-offs are really high. But the companies recruiting are not so good. Choosing ECE over CSE will give you the advantage of sitting in placements of both the courses. The rest all lies in the hands of the candidate and their interest. They can compare all the information available and then decide which is better for them.
Which is better in every respect DTU IT, DTU SE, NSIT IT or MNNIT Allahabad CSE?
NSIT IT is the better option among these. It offers a better peer group which is reflected in the cutoff requirements. Location-wise, NSIT is more accessible. The institute has a compact batch size, so students get good placement opportunities.
NSIT placements are top-notch. The placement average is around 100%. The average salary package offered is around INR 12-15 LPA. During the recent placement drive, the highest CTC offered was INR 1.2 CPA. All major MNCs take part in campus placement.
Which is better: IT at NIT Surathkal or CSE at MNNIT Allahabad in terms of placement and environment?
NIT Surathkal, formerly called Karnataka Regional Engineering College(KREC), located in Mangalore is an amalgamation of 13 departments, 1 school, 12 supporting centers, and 245 eminent dedicated faculty members. NIT Surathkal is ranked 13th in Engineering by and 33rd overall by NIRF 2020. MNNIT, Allahabad is a UGC and AICTE approved institute and has been ranked 14th by India Today 2020.

Which is better, a CSE at MNNIT Allahabad or petroleum at IIT Dhanbad?
IITs and NITs have always been the first priority of the students seeking admission into engineering colleges. According to NIRF engineering ranking 2020 IIT Dhanbad and MNNIT Allahabad secure 15th and 48th positions respectively. IITs and NITs are known for the projects prepared by their students.
