Did Kumar Vishwas join MNNIT Allahabad and later proceed to drop out?

Kumar Vishwas joined MNNIT Allahabad and later proceeded to drop out. He has mentioned about his drop out during his poetry conventions.

Before getting its NIT status, MNNIT was known as the renowned Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering college (MLNR). According to Kumar Vishwas, he joined the college to fulfill his father’s wish and become an Engineer. But machines couldn’t catch his interest.

Consequently, he left engineering to study literature and build a career in the field of poetry. He says that his family was not happy with his decision. They felt he wouldn't make a bright career out of poetry. But Kumar Vishwas was determined to follow his heart. Instead of doing something he wasn’t interested in, he chose to pursue his dreams, even if he would earn only enough for his survival.

His journey is quite inspirational. Today he is one of the well known personalities of India, and earns handsomely for his performances.
