As a student of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology at IIT Guwahati, I have a quality education and a dynamic research environment here. Established in November 2002, the department has quickly grown to become a leader in the field of biotechnology and biosciences in North East India. There are 36 faculty members with a variety of specialities, students receive a rich and multifaceted learning experience.

IIT Guwahati is well known for its library in India. The main library is called Lakshminath Bezbaroa Central Library and holds a substantial collection of books and other resources.
