Both IIIT Allahabad and BIT Mesra are excellent institutes offering top-quality education in various branches of engineering. But specifically for CS, IIIT Allahabad seems to be a better option. Had I been in your place I would have chosen IIIT Allahabad considering my strong passion for IT and CS

• IIIT Allahabad is the best choice if you want to enter the IT field. It should be preferred over BIT Mesra if you are interested in CS/IT/ECE.
• If you have no specific interest in CS, choosing IIIT Allahabad may limit your opportunities, and choosing BIT Mesra is a wiser decision in that case. 
• Location-wise, IIIT Allahabad fairs better than Mesra although you won't be able to enjoy much city life at either place.

Addressing the elephant in the room, the placement statistics of IIIT Allahabad are much better than BIT Mesra. Look at the table below

As you can see from the above table, IIIT Allahabad has much better placement statistics and even records 100% placements every year. Ultimately, it can be said that IIIT Allahabad has an amazing IT environment and should be given preference if you are into IT else, BIT Mesra can be considered. 

Both NITs, namely NIT Hamirpur and NIT Bhopal are excellent engineering colleges. However, NIT Hamirpur is much better than NIT Bhopal, and here is why

1. Good connectivity with road network
2. Hamirpur has many eateries where you can delicious yet less expensive food.
3. Located in Himachal Pradesh, with Shimla, Kullu-Manali & Dharamshala just a few hours ride away. There are so many more serene places to explore.
4. The Institute is located on the foothills of the Himalayas, with such a pleasant climate and lush green surroundings. 

Although NIT Hamirpur faces a slight locational disadvantage of not having great connectivity through Railways and air, the placement scenario is great. NIT Hamirpur CSE placement statistics have been mentioned below

NIT Bhopal placements for the CSE branch are decent too and the average package recorded was INR 17.45 LPA. 

So, choose your college wisely!

An MS in Management Information System from the University of Buffalo is a short and convenient course. 

• UB’s MIS caters to students with varied work experience and profiles. There are students with zero to more than seven years of work experience. 
• Many of the courses taught in the program are industry-sponsored. So, you will get good industry exposure. 
• University of Buffalo MIS fees are $15,264 for the NYS residents. The estimated total cost is around $27,054 for non-resident students. 
• UB’s MIS program has an employment rate of 94% within 6 months of graduation. The average base salary is recorded to be $229,600, while the average base salary is $83,996. 

It is a fantastic program, especially for students with few years of experience. The close proximity to NYC will help you get better job opportunities. 

Here is a short review of each of the aforementioned colleges 

• NSUT Delhi: Go for this college only if you are getting CSE, IT, or ECE here. The infrastructure is lacking but the excellent alumni network makes up for it.
• DTU : The infrastructure and alumni network is great but the academic level is average.
• IIIT Delhi: The college is new so does not have an elaborate alumni base but the excellent faculty makes the learning experience great. The curriculum is updated and the infrastructure is modern. The academics are given great focus and the ambiance is pretty rigorous.

Here is what you should prefer for individual branches

If you aren’t getting CSE at IIIT Delhi then consider CSD and CSAM branches of IIIT Delhi but only after considering the CSE of NSUT Delhi and DTU.

In my opinion, NIT Nagpur would be a better choice than Manipal Institute of Technology. Here are some key reasons why 

1. NIT is a government institute so receives huge funds and also charges less fees.
2. Some of the NIT Nagpur departments are at par with that of IITs.
3. The crowd is more diverse and you get to interact with people from different walks of life and cultural backgrounds.
4. MIT Manipal has a better placement scenario. Its average package is INR 14.10 LPA while NIT Nagpur's average package last year was INR 10.36 LPA.
5. The institute has a decent campus life with all basic amenities
6. Connected to National knowledge network (provides highest available internet speed in India +100mbps)

It’s advisable to talk to students from both colleges and compare their reviews before making the final decision.

One of my friends was in a similar dilemma last year when she had to choose between ECE at IGDTUW and NIT Delhi. She eventually chose NIT Delhi, Electrical, and Electronics branch, and has no regrets to date.

Sharing her experience she told me that since NIT Delhi operates from a temporary campus, it takes around 1 hour to reach college from the hostel. The Infrastructure isn’t very good but if you want the NIT tag, then NIT Delhi isn’t a bad choice. 

Moreover, IGDTUW is an all-girls college while NIT Delhi is co-ed. So make your choice after looking at all the aspects. 

IIM Delhi would have been a reality if capital cities were the only places that could draw high-caliber placements. Since many of the participants in this thread appear to be unaware of the paradox that geography affects employment opportunities. 

Slow placements and offer retraction have been a source of complaint for many IIMs. In addition, numerous IIMs, including Raipur, according to the papers, have been asked to submit their reports for review by the MHRD due to unsatisfactory data. But Kashipur is not at all a part of these worrying developments. IIM Kashipur was given the all-clear despite not encountering either of the issues.

If you compare the reports, which basically show people don't give a hoot about geography if they have the quality to be obtained, it still has one of the highest numbers of companies visiting the campus. In contrast, IIM Kashipur's numbers have consistently outperformed those of comparable institutions, and one can also see that the roles available are comprehensive and varied.

So, if you want a quality education and a quality job that will be a uniform outcome of quality education, go somewhere that is off-limits to the rest of the world.

Here are some important things I learned from the campus placements at NSUT Delhi-

1. It’s a harsh reality but luck plays a huge role in placements. Sometimes it will shock you how people with no potential at all get offered great job opportunities.
2. Confidence and patience are really important during placements.
3. You need to prepare well to get placed. By sitting for various companies too, you will get a lot of experience and exposure on the do’s and don'ts.
4. Placement season is the best and worst time of your college life. This is when you get to know the difference between fake and real friends.
5. Learn to be satisfied with the job that you end up in. It is your grades, caliber, and level of preparation that have brought you here. A comparison with others is of no use.
6. Sometimes people become rude after getting placed in a top company for a good package. Learn to ignore them and remain calm.
7. Only you know your hard work, worth and potential. Don’t let others talk you down with rude words.
8. Some of your close friends may not get a good placement. This is the time when you support them.
9. Utilize your time after placements. Get productive, don’t be lazy. 

These experiences aren’t just limited to the placement season of NSUT Delhi, they are common for all the colleges/ universities.

My uncle is a professor of Mathematics at IIT Delhi. According to him, one should prioritize the subject/ branch instead of the college while making such decisions. 

You have an interest in CSE, as mentioned by you. In that case, you should go for the best college that is offering you CSE. An ‘IIT’ tag is definitely worthy and IITs have their own advantages. However, it will boil down to nothing if you have no interest in your branch. 

But, I also wish to make it clear that NIT Kurukshetra does not offer CSE (Computer Science Engineering). Instead, it offers Computer Engineering (CE). The former revolves around Software, while the latter pays more attention to Hardware. 

Try to find out more about CE, and then make your final decision. If you decide that CE is a better choice for you, go for NIT Kurukshetra. Otherwise, choose the other option.

You can also look for some other good colleges that offer CSE.
