New Delhi: World Economic Forum has released a new report titled "Education 4.0 India Report''. The report offers a plan to close educational gaps with the help of the latest technology and make education accessible to all.

As per the report, the “Education 4.0 India Report 2022” is published by the World Economic Forum, the United Nations Children's Education Fund (UNICEF), and YuWaah in a collaboration with Generation Unlimited India.
The report claims that the "most effective uses of online learning and digital content during the pandemic have illustrated their strength to provide access to the finest learning resources to students based far and wide”.
“Online and digital learning also enables students to study at their own pace and receive customised experience and assessment” the report further reads.
Even though India has taken various initiatives in addressing some of the most pressing issues in education, it has been claimed that about 70% of class 3 students in India lack even the most essential abilities in reading and maths.
These issues can be resolved with the help of flipbooks, dynamic content, and read-aloud techniques. Furthermore, the usage of digital tools can be used to solve various education-related issues and make schoolchildren's learning enjoyable and engaging.
The research recommends using customised worksheets and movies at home and forming online communities with teachers' assistance. It also suggests daily delivery of videos, assignments, and quizzes on WhatsApp along with several other alternatives for promoting target-based learning.
According to the paper, these initiatives can help parents become more aware of the issue and develop their parenting skills. Through this report, the organisations hope to empower and engage young people while addressing inequalities in India's education system.
It offers a plan for enhancing India's educational system and issues a call to action to all parties involved in ed-tech to work together to change the industry.
