UP Govt. Signs Agreement to Set up Medical Colleges in Sambhal and Maharajganj; Details Here


New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh government has signed a public-private partnership agreement to establish medical institutions in the state’s of Sambhal and Maharajganj district.

According to the release, the agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During the release, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also mentioned that this is the first time in the state that medical colleges are being built via the PPP (public-private partnership) model. He also urged the Medical Education Department to go on in a timely way.

The work of establishing medical colleges is being carried out by recognised institutions namely the Shri Siddhi Vinayak Trust in Bareilly and the Shanti Foundation Trust in Maharajganj. 

The Chief Minister also stated that the establishment of medical colleges with private sector participation will be pursued aggressively. He further added that the state government has set a goal of developing medical institutions in Maharajganj and Sambhal by 2024.
