New Delhi: The Foundational Stage and Balvatika National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2022 will be unveiled by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, today, on October 20, 2022.
The NCF was launched in the presence of the Ministers of State for Education Annpurna Devi, Subhas Sarkar, and Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.
According to the Ministry of Education's official release, the Foundational Stage NCF 2022 will be unveiled at 11 AM. Based on the National Education Policy, NEP 2020 proposals, the National Curriculum Framework was created.
The National Curriculum Framework would include four subcategories, which are National Curriculum Framework for Adult Education (NCFAE), National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education (NCFECCE), National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education (NCFTE), and National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE) (NCFAE).
As per this, NCF will be developing in four areas - school education, early childhood care and education, teacher education and adult education. NCF has been revised a total of 4 times - 1975, 1988, 2000 and 2005. NCF 2022 would be the fifth revision of the framework.
Accordingly, the NCF will expand in four areas: teacher education, adult education, early childhood care and education. NCF has undergone four revisions in all, in 1975, 1988, 2000, and 2005. The framework would have its fifth revision in 2022.
The National Credit Framework, NCrF 2022 for higher education was also introduced on October 19, 2022 by the Union Minister for Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
The NCrF 22022 initiative was started to promote flexibility and mobility between the academic and professional worlds as well as their integration.
