New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked all higher education universities to integrate the UG and PG Cyber Security syllabus courses. As part of Cyber Jagrookta Diwas 2022, UGC Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar introduced the Cyber Security syllabus on October 6.

The UGC's most recent notification states that the curriculum "aims to develop more informed, active, and accountable digital citizens, thus successfully contributing to an overall healthy cybersecurity posture and ecosystem."
In a letter to all vice-chancellors and university principals, the UGC requested that they "take proactive measures for execution of the Syllabus of Cyber Security Course at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level in all the streams of your esteemed University and also in the affiliated / constituent Colleges."
Due to the significance of cyber security and to promote cyber hygienic practices among HEIs. A summary of cyber security, cyber crimes, cyber law, data privacy and security, cyber security management, compliance, and governance are all covered in the PG cyber security syllabus, which comprises five modules.
The UGC chairman previously said that experts specializing in cyber security, computer, and IT would be asked to participate in lectures, practicals, and tutorials.
