What is the UGC foreign Campuses Draft?
The recommendations for Foreign Universities to Set Up Campuses in India were released by UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar. All foreign universities that seek to establish campuses in India will be able to do so only after receiving approval from the UGC, per the regulations. Only a 10-year period will be covered by the aforementioned approval. The colleges applying must either rank among the top 500 universities worldwide or have a stellar reputation in their home nations.
Universities will be allowed to set up their campuses solely for those ranked courses if their overall ranking falls between 500 and 1000 but their subject-wise ranking is higher.
All international colleges that establish campuses in India will only be permitted to do offline lectures, therefore all of the programmes they offer will be full-time.
