It has been declared by the Telangana Chief Minister that the academic session for the engineering college all over the state will begin from August 17, 2020. On the other hand, the decision regarding the reopening of the schools is to be taken yet.
An official release of the decision was issued by the Chief Minister in which it was mentioned that a meeting was conducted at Pragati Bhavan with the officials regarding the issues pertaining to the education sector in the view of COVID pandemic.
Means were discussed to encourage government education institutes of the state and decisions made regarding the education sector were announced accordingly after the meeting.
Besides this, the state govt.has also started working on combining the entrance exam schedule so that the students would not have to lose one academic year.
Not only this, but the state government has decided to follow UGC and AICTE guidelines also. These guidelines were issued regarding the decision made on conducting final exams of the various universities and colleges.

It was decided that exams will only be conducted for the final year candidates. The first and second candidates will be promoted on the basis of their previous results and internal assessments.
Furthermore, it has been announced by the CM that the state government is trying to prepare and execute a long term strategy which would strengthen the educational system of the state.
It was advised to the various schools and colleges across the state to inculcate some virtual workshops for the students. The aim of the workshop should be making and upgrading education standards. The state educational institutes were urged to conduct meetings with experts regarding this matter.
