New Delhi: The Ministry of Health, Medical, and Family Welfare T Harish Rao has announced the approval of the creation of 3897 posts in various categories for the nine new government medical colleges and attached government general hospitals in Telangana, moving medical education and healthcare in the state forward.

Earlier, on November 30, the Special Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao (Finance department) issued an order announcing that the state government had approved 3897 positions in a variety of categories, all of which would be managed by the Director of Medical Education in Hyderabad in accordance with National Medical Commission guidelines.
Out of the 3897 positions, 9 new medical colleges with connected government general hospitals have been opened in Rajanna Sircilla, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Komarambeem Asifabad, Janagoan, and Nirmal, creating 433 positions each institution.
After thorough consideration of the request, the decision was made to authorise the creation of 3897 posts in the state's mentioned medical institutions and hospitals in order to improve the medical profession.

Where service regulations require direct recruitment, the directive said that the HM&FW Department shall get the consent of the Finance Department before commencing efforts to fill the vacancies sanctioned in this order.
Further, the ruling continues, stating that the
HM&FW Department is requested to take required further action in the matter accordingly.

Under the direction of the Director of Medical Education, the TS Govt approved the creation of 3897 jobs in various categories at 9 Medical Colleges with Attached Govt General Hospitals.
