New Delhi: The Supreme Court heard the case today after receiving the Center's affidavit, which claimed that the National Medical Commission (NMC) did not mention permitting the shelter of returned medical students from Ukraine in Indian medical colleges.

After today’s hearing, the Supreme Court advised the centre to develop a web portal and provide all the necessary details to keep clarity. The next hearing will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022.
Tushar Mehta, the Center's Solicitor General (SG), made the following remarks in court: "First group of petitioners were unable to complete their clinical practise, or residency as we call it. We invited you to do a residency here. Using diplomatic ties with Ukraine to benefit students We made sure that they received their degrees out of charity."
The second group was allowed to finish their last year and residency here while completing their online coursework.
"Those in their first, second, and third years make up the third group. We coordinated with other nations to send students there, where they received degrees from Ukraine. This was clarified more yesterday, "according to Bar and Bench.
Justice Gupta advised SG to create a site to create a systematic method. SG stated that he would communicate with the government about this.
The court agreed to hear the matter on Friday after the SG requested permission to submit the government's position on Monday.
"If other colleges elsewhere can do it.. can't Indian universities do something about it?" a lawyer questioned. "You do not have a right over Indian universities," the court retorted.
"All information will be provided on the portal. Your wants are endless! Learn in your native language if you don't comprehend the language "The court stated.
