New Delhi: SCERT Assam D.El.Ed Admission 2022 has begun the application process for the academic year 2022-24. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal i.e. scertpet.in

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam offers a 2-year Diploma course in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Candidates seeking admission to the programme can submit their applications till April 10, 2022. 

SCERT Assam D.El.Ed Admission 2022: Highlights 

SCERT, Assam is inviting online applications from candidates who are eligible and permanent residents of Assam to appear in the Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2022 for admission to B.El.Ed course. 

The course will be conducted in the Teacher Education Institutes in Assam (DIET/ CTE/ Normal Schools/ BTC/ Pvt.) recognised by the NCTE.

SCERT Assam D.El.Ed Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Here are the basic eligibility criteria required to take admission in Assam D.El.Ed course:

• Aspiring candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognised Board or Council with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate excluding the marks received in the optional subject
• Candidates from the SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H) category will have a relaxation of 5% of marks in an aggregate
• Candidates must not be less than 18 years old and not more than 34 years old as on July 1, 2022

SCERT Assam D.El.Ed Admission 2022: Selection Process

Candidates should take note of the following points to know about the selection procedure in detail:

• Firstly the applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in PET and marks secured in HS
• Shortlisted candidates then have to appear for the counselling process
• The merit list will be prepared as per the requirements of each district, seat availability. A waiting list will also be prepared
• Once the seats are allocated, the candidates are required to report at the designated centre within the prescribed dates with the proper documents for verification.

Candidates should follow the following methods to apply to the course online:

• Visit the official application portal of SCERT Assam 
• Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as Mobile Number, Email Id etc.
• Now, login with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form and upload the scanned files of documents
• Pay the application fee of INR 600/ and submit the Application form
• Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs along with the acknowledgement slip
