RGCB Kerela PhD Admission 2022 Open; Last Date to Apply is May 11

New Delhi:  RGCB Kerela is currently accepting applications for its PhD programme for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, rgcb.res.in. 

RGCB Kerela offers a PhD programme in various domains of disease biology and plant science. Candidates seeking admission to the programme can submit their applications till May 11, 2022.

Applicants with a relevant postgraduate degree along with a JRF fellowship are eligible to take admission for the PhD programme at RGCB Kerela.

RGCB Kerela PhD Admission 2022: Highlights 

Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria do not ensure a candidate's selection for admission to the RGCB Kerela. The candidate also needs to clarify the online interview round which is scheduled for the 4th week of May.

RGCB Kerela PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Life/ Agricultural/ Environmental/ Veterinary/ Pharmaceutical/ Medical Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Chemistry/ Microbiology, etc.) with 55 % or equivalent grade point can apply.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks may be allowed for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
• Applicants must have a valid JRF Fellowship (UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT/DST-INSPIRE/ or any other nationally-competitive fellowship) offered by the Government having a valid fellowship for a period of 5 years.
• The upper age limit is 28 years as of December 2021. The age limit will be relaxed for SC/ST/PwD candidates as per Government of India regulations.
• RGCB is currently affiliated with the University of Kerala, MAHE, Regional Centre for Biotechnology and KUHS. Registration of the selected candidates will be as per the guidelines issued by these universities.

• Candidates will be chosen based on their academic achievement as well as their performance and performance in the national level tests.
• Candidates also need to appear in the online interviews round.
• Candidates who will be shortlisted for the interview will be given interview guidelines.
• The list of selected candidates will be uploaded to the RGCB website.

RGCB Kerela PhD Admission 2022: How to Apply?

• Visit the official application portal of RGCB Kerela, at rgcb.res.in.
• Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as name, mobile number, email id, password, and fellowship type.
• Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.
• Pay the application fee of INR 500 (SC/ST/EWS candidates are exempted to pay the application fee) and submit the Application form. 
• Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
