New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the AIIMS campus in Bilaspur during his visit to Himachal Pradesh on October 05, 2022. He will also participate in the Kullu Dussehra celebrations and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth INR 3,650 crore.

As per the reports, the inauguration of AIIMS Bilaspur will take place at 11:30 am on October 05, 2022. PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the medical institute in 2017 and he will inaugurate the institute to showcase his commitment to strengthening the health services in India.
After the event, the AIIMS Bilaspur will start the first ever batch of its various medical courses for all interested and eligible candidates. The institute will offer a total of 100 admission seats for the MBBS course and 60 admission seats for other nursing courses every year.
Constructed in the span of four years, the AIIMS Bilaspur is a fully functional and state of art hospital. The institute has 18 speciality and 17 super-speciality departments, 18 modular operation theatres and a total of 750 beds, out of which 64 are reserved for the ICU ward.
The campus will be fully equipped with modern facilities, laboratories, and modern health care machineries such as ultrasounds and sonography, CT scans and MRIs. It will also provide 24-hour emergency facilities and dialysis facilities with a capacity of 30 beds.
In addition to this, the hospital will also have a Center for Digital Health through which it will offer support and medical assistance in tribal and inaccessible areas of the state of Himachal Pradesh. The health services will be offered through health camps for tribal communities.
During his visit, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth INR 3,650 crore, which includes the project of developing a 31 km long four-lane National Highway from Pinjore to Nalagarh on the NH-105. The total cost of the project is Rs 1,690 crore.
Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone of the Medical Device Park at Nalagarh project worth INR 350 crore. With this initiative, the medical device park will aim to enhance employment opportunities in the state and offer career opportunities to students.
