New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the All India Institute of Ayurveda at Dhargal, Goa on December 11, 2022 (Sunday) in Mumbai. For the event, PM Modi travelled to the coastal state to deliver the closing remarks at the 9th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo.
As per the officials, the Ayurveda Congress featured participants from more than 50 nations. In addition to this, Prime Minister Modi opened the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), Delhi, and the National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM), Ghaziabad.
During the inauguration event, PM Modi mentioned the potential for Ayurveda and Yoga tourism, particularly for Goa, and claimed that the All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa can serve as a significant starting point in that area.
He further addressed the group and welcomed all of the 9th World Ayurveda Congress delegates to Goa. He also offered his congratulations on the congress's accomplishments. The World Ayurveda Congress is being held while Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal's journey is in progress, the Prime Minister said.
One of the main goals of the Amrit Kaal is to secure world wellness through India's scientific, intellectual, and cultural experience, and Ayurveda is a potent and successful tool for that. The Prime Minister mentioned India's G-20 Presidency and the G-20 theme of "One Earth, One Family, One Future".
He shared his gratitude towards the acceptance of Ayurveda as a traditional medical system by more than 30 nations throughout the world. He urged further efforts to ensure that Ayurveda is more widely recognised and shared that the National institutes that were opened today will give the Ayush healthcare system new life.
