New Delhi: According to new reports, the National Medical Commission has agreed to recognize Ukraine's academic mobility program, which allows students who have returned to the country to join universities in other countries and finish their education.

Students studying in international medical colleges must complete their education and earn a degree from a single university, according to the National Medical Council Act. The notice issued by the NMC clarified that the mobility program provided by Ukraine has been taken into account in the commission in consultation with the Ministry of External Affairs where it was implied that the program is momentary relocation to other universities located in various countries globally. The degree given will nonetheless be by the parent university in Ukraine.

The notice released said that there is no issue with the academic mobility plan in regards to Indian Medical students who are enrolled in Ukraine provided that other conditions of Screening Test Regulations 2002 are met.
Having Ukraine engaged in a civil conflict, students seeking medical degrees in the nation were compelled to return, with no clue how to continue their studies. Numerous rescue missions brought thousands of students back to India after they became stuck in war-torn parts of Ukraine.
