NIIT University (NU) organised its 10th Convocation Ceremony in Virtual Reality mode, given the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 298 students were awarded degree certificates for completing their programs.
Observing a clean 100% placement this year, students of NIIT University have been placed in IBM, PwC, EY, Airtel, HCL Technologies, Cognizant, Big Basket, Byjus among others.
NIIT University Convocation 2020: Highlights of the Ceremony in Virtual Mode
NIIT University’s Virtual Convocation ceremony which is immersive and real-time has been created using a combination of three-dimensional data and panoramic photos collected from the campus.
The students joined the Convocation along with their families at home and engaged in friendly conversations with their peers while their 3D personalized avatars inside a virtual NIIT University campus.

Personalized avatars of each graduate received the degree certificate from the personalized avatar of Dr Prabhu Aggarwal, President (Vice-Chancellor), NIIT University and medals from the avatar of Mr Nandan Nilekani, Chairman and Co-Founder of Infosys and Chief Guest on the occasion.
Delivering his speech at the convocation ceremony, Mr Nandan Nilekani, congratulated all the students on their achievements. He appreciated the efforts of NIIT University for implementing cutting-edge technology to overcome the challenges in these trying times.

Mr Nilekani asserted, “NIIT University truly represents the University of the Future. In a short period, NU has become one of the most respected institutions in India. I congratulate all the graduating students of NU who are stepping into the world in very uncertain times.
