Nagpur University conducted its first ever online exams for the final year students on October 8, 2020.
Over 316 students of Nagpur University failed to attend the online exams due to the one-time-password (OTP) error which occurred on thursday, while accessing the question paper for the exams.
A total of 1,584 students were supposed to write the online exams, out of which 316 of the students missed the exam.

Several complaints were registered in the university from districts including Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, and Nagpur regarding the failure of receiving the Otps on their smartphones.
Prafulla Sable, Director at Board of Examinations and Evaluation (BoEE) stated that post enquiry, it was revealed that 18.74% of the students from which 249 examinees were from BSc Microbiology and 47 from BSc statistics missed the online exam due to the Otp glitches.
The authorities of the Pariksha Application, developed by Promarc Software Limited, which was used by the students to access the question paper revealed that they had used only 10% of the server on thursday.
They claimed that their app or the server didn't crash like it crashed on the very first day of the exams held for the students of universities including Mumbai, Solapur, and Gondwana.
Sable said that they didn't face any technical issues during the mock tests or they would have tried to fix the issues.
On Thursday, the server received almost 8000 SMSs from the students regarding Otp from 1.26pm to 1.38pm, he said.
Further he added saying that the university has planned to conduct less papers on the first three and has apprehended 50% of the examinees, due to the occurrence of such difficulties.

Meanwhile, The students aren't convinced with the explanations given by the authorities of the university and are hoping for the exams to end.
A final year Microbiology Student angrily stated that the university shouldn't shouldn't risk their career by putting them in the trails.
