MDS Admission 2022 Open; Last Date to Apply is September 13

New Delhi: The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram has begun the application process for the MDS programme for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @cee.kerala.gov.in. 

The office has invited applications for MDS Courses for the year 2022 to the State Quota seats in Government Dental Colleges in Kerala and to all the seats available in the Self-Financing Dental Colleges. Candidates seeking admission to the programme can submit their applications till September 13, 2022.

MDS Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admissions into the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates should possess a recognised BDS degree/ equivalent and should have obtained permanent registration from the Kerala State Dental Council. 
• They must have completed one year (12 months) Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) by July 31, 2022. 
• The condition of one year Compulsory, Rotating Resident Internship is not applicable to those who had passed their final BDS Examination in 1988 or before, before, holding a BDS Degree from a Dental College recognized by the Dental Council of India and have obtained provisional or permanent registration from the Kerala State Dental Council. 
• Candidates should be an Indian Citizen of Kerala Origin. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders will be considered only for the NRI seats. 
• Sons/daughters of non-Keralite parents who have obtained BDS degree from any of the Dental Colleges in Kerala. States are also eligible. But they will not be eligible for communal /Special/PD reservation benefits.
• There is no upper age limit for General Quota candidates. Upper age limit will be 48 years for Service candidates under Medical Education Service and 46 years for service applicants under Health service and Insurance Medical Service quota, as on September 2, 2022.
• Candidates should have qualified the NEET for Postgraduate Dental Courses (NEET MDS-2022) conducted by the NBE securing the required percentile cut-off score prescribed as applicable to his/her category and should figure in the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. 

MDS Admission 2022: Selection Process

Candidate's Selection to the MDS programme will be made from the Rank list and Category list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations depending upon the NEET MDS 2022 rank list and as per the eligibility provisions contained in the Prospectus for admission to the MDS process. 

MDS Admission 2022: How to Apply? 

Step 1: Visit the official application portal @www.cee.kerala.gov.in.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 2000 and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.

In addition to applying online, Service Candidates must forward a copy of the printout of the acknowledgement page along with all required documents including their service details to the Controlling Officer concerned as stipulated in clause 11.7 of the prospectus, to reach on or before September 13, 2022.
