Manipur Govt Launches Educational TV Channel Lairik on Jio TV Platform

The state of Manipur has taken a wonderful initiative in imparting online education to the students amid rising COVID cases in the state. Regarding the same, it has launched its first-ever educational channel called Lairik.

This Educational Channel was launched under the platform of Jio TV on Thursday, dated July 16, 2020.

The State Education Minister has launched this educational TV channel in the presence of Director, Commissioner and Additional Director at his office chamber in Imphal.

With the launching of this educational channel, students can watch and in the process learn from the many content-related videos. There are 700 channels on the Jio TV platform in total, out of which 64 are dedicated towards education.

Lairik is available all over India which is quite beneficial for the students. Moreover, they can watch those content-related videos any number of times repeatedly for the next 7 days.

Only the Jio TV app is merged with the Jio Sim, reducing its dependency for both Jio Chat and Jio Saavn as well. As a result, all these apps are opened to all followers across the world.

Lairik-Jio TV Channel Hosting Benefits:

• The channel schedule is wholly managed by the Department of Education, Manipur.
•  Live classrooms can be integrated within the same channel.
• The same channel can be hosted in other local languages including English.
• It even provides additional channels to launch class-wise contents.
• Jio TV will provide a platform free of cost to the Manipur Govt. for running such a channel and for the subscribers as well.
• Radio classes can be carried out for the students through All India Radio in order to invite their constructive suggestions and sought opinions, especially for the young minds.
